I finally got my NAM working after taking things in & out of the plugins folder. I have to say that the hard work that goes into this mod is amazing. It is the best thing to happen to SimCity 4 since BAT buildings. Your first interchange was top class except for the unbroken lines but it's still great. If anyone wants to consider or try an interchange, see if you can give this one a go:


For those who don't know what a Melway is, it is a melbourne stree directory. The high (free (in oz)) ways are green, the avenues (highways (in oz) are black and the ,________, things mean bridges and tunnels. The arrows are for Australians (we drive on the LHS) and forget the black overpass near the M1 route marker at the bottom. A bit of a challenge I think.

    OK, is there a way to disable the auto prompt for overpasses and stuff?  It can get very annoying when placing roads, as I had to click cancel like 15 times in a row once while laying a single strech of road!

    Once you have downloaded the file, place the Unzipped File in the exact, same, folder, as the Main Mod from the Mods page. Also, don't change the name of the unzipped file either.

    NetworkAddon Mod Details

    Before using the latest update [or if you have any problems using it]; get rid of any previous Traffic/Transit related files you might have; OTHERWISE SOME THINGS WILL NOT WORK!
    If you have the same Menu Button appearing for a particular item [say 2 or 3 copies of the exact same menu button], this is a definite sign that you still have an old traffic/transit related mod installed.
     
    -The Cycling/Tab'ing issue for the Puzzle Pieces has been rectified.
    Any BUGS that people find, post them here thanks.

    Everyone:

    Who'd like Pedestrian Malls, &/or also Pedestrian Footbridges [these would be for land only-though Ped Footbridges for water *may* be do-able]?

    If so; then;

    -someone [with Batting skills] care to make some 1x1 tile thingys, with trees and whatever else on them, but don't clutter the 1x1 tile up to much with stuff. Only make 5 at the most though [for now].

    Either do this; or; if someone wants to just send me a copy of a piece of work they've already done, then they can. This would involve just the S3D file, but this must have been done with LODS in BAT & must be Textured, and it must only occupy a 1x1 tile [EDIT: Some 2x2 tile ones can be done if someone likes, but just do 1 of them thanks, for now: End EDIT].

    When someone does this, well then I can see about getting some Pedestrian Malls in the game 19.gif [i may have to do some experimenting/testing first though, I dunno, but I really don't see any reason why fully fledged Ped Malls wouldn't work].

    As for the Ped FootBridges; this would work similar like the Overpasses, only on a much smaller scale [a lot smaller]. Same goes here as for the Ped Malls [only 5, and must be done with LODS & Textured and everything etc].

    I have two buttons of just the ANT Network. Everything else I just have 1 button. I knoq that having two buttons means you have more than one transit mod, but the rest of the buttons are fine. Are there supposed to be two ANT Network buttons, or should I look harder for transit mods (I am 99.9% sure the only transit mod I have besides this one is traffic cop).

I mean there the main part of the highway need to go under a certian part you could  make it so that it digs a little hole. Also I was wondering when the Stack interchnage will be coming out. I really really need it for my LA region! So if you could answer these questions that would be great.

    Mmmmm...
    I've tryed to delete all the other mod. It work perfectly, but actually, I still get two buttons for the highway, puzzle pieces, etc etc...41.gif41.gif

    Tropod when you get those Textures from Dexter for the ANT network do you think you can Mod it so when in Region Mode when you select the Transportation View it shows up RED like the other highways if so that would be great3.gif

    ok, these must be the most stupidest questions i have to ask

    1. i have quite a few lots...how do i know what its even for if the filename doesnt have any description as to what it does?

    2. some of these lots have built in mods...do i delete those .sc4models?

    3. and whats with the sc4desc. files...obviously its description but do i delete these too?

    4. is there a list i can obtain that has a full listing to all the files this file combines?

    I'm following this thread from the very beginning, and I must say this mod will be among the best additions to the game ever! Kudos to all who have contributed their work and knowledge here! Esp. the puzzle pieces are something I've been waiting for ages - finally we can make functional bridges over land. 1.gif
     
    I don't know if this was suggested before, but I have an idea how to use the ANT network: Make diagonal streets! I'm pretty sure most of us are a bit annoyed that they can't do anything else than rectangular suburbs, so diagonal streets would be a great addition. The image below shows a small village where I used the ANT as diagonal streets (obviously photoshopped; the label says ANT Network, which I translated into German). It's not possible to develop buildings along the ANT network, but as you can see, this issue doesn't affect the look very much.

    Next, I have to report a bug with the latest Network Addon Mod - the diagonal cloverleaf doesn't have any textures (see image below). I removed all other mods and plugins, but the problem remains. Did you accidentally delete some data in the mod files or something else?

    Tropod i Think a Great step for the Network Addon Mod would be to try and Make Culdesacs for Streets that way we can have more realistic Suberbs1.gif

    hhmm...that is a very odd problem you have. There is only one thing that I can think of that mught cause this, but it can't be that because no one else [nor myself] have this happening [& the actual files that would possibly cause this to happen seem to be in order]. So, the only other thing that might be causing this is the Graphics card maybe &/or faulty hardware/software? Best/First thing I can suggest is to try and download the Mod again. It is possible that your installation of RH/Deluxe might be corrupt though.; if it is you may need to reinstall it. Otherwise I'm at a loss 42.gif. I'll see if I can't pintpoint any problems with it though, but I doubt I will.
    As for using the ANT for diagonal Streets; many people have put forth suggestions, but I rather not have it look like anything that people might try and use and expect RCI to develop along side; otherwise people are just going to wonder/think that there's something wrong with it.
    As for the Menu Icons; thanks, I may use these for the mod, they look very well done 2.gif.

    Lots have absolutely nothing to do with what is going on in this thread. It's why it is called NetworkAddon MOD [as opposed to a Lot]. As for any Lots with built-in mods though; well still, none of them should have any bearing with what is going on in this thread. If you have a problem with a LOT file, you're best to talk to the person who made it.

    For the Network Addon Mod? Read the Technical Notes that comes with the documentation. It gives some explanation as to what files the NetworkAddon Mod relies on and includes.
