Melbourne, Australia. Worlds Most Liveable City
B210 replied to lakeyboy's topic in SC4 City Journals
Date: 1/17/2005 3:33:52 AM Author: lakeyboy Hmmm... My regular visitors must not have been on lately & i've got to remember to post in the morning (that is morning for me, night for the usa!) Anyway, I have completed much more of the surrounding CBD. I have completed the West Gate Freeway and the Southbank Interchange as close as I can. I'll post a melway map and a picture of it in SC4 in the next update. To tide you over until then, I downloaded The Jersey Devil's new Transportation Map Mod. He is going to try to do one for me with melway map colours for this cj. Here is a pic of what I have done so far with his new mod. quote> It's looking really good, lakeyboy. Can I have a closeup of the Southbank interchange and Montague St (MR30) interchange? I'll really like to see them! -
Date: 7/20/2004 5:17:52 AM Author: Yay...more Adelaidians....welcome Jac0001.... Btw I just have to say that Melbourne isn't as good as Adelaide, for starters you can afford to buy a house here, cost of living is lower. Also...Melbourne smells, and they steal all our attractions. quote> Haha, it's always Sydney or Adelaide having a go at Melb. Melb has by far a better road system, i remember my parents talking about the tight curve on the Devil's Elbow on the M1 just after Crafters - it took quite a while until a bypass was made of it. Anyway, i like the layout of your city. Especially the tramline to Glenelg - makes it very real. Have you named the roads and avenues to what they are in real life? Viseth.

Date: 6/13/2004 4:40:24 AM Author: I finally got my NAM working after taking things in & out of the plugins folder. I have to say that the hard work that goes into this mod is amazing. It is the best thing to happen to SimCity 4 since BAT buildings. Your first interchange was top class except for the unbroken lines but it's still great. If anyone wants to consider or try an interchange, see if you can give this one a go: For those who don't know what a Melway is, it is a melbourne stree directory. The high (free (in oz)) ways are green, the avenues (highways (in oz) are black and the ,________, things mean bridges and tunnels. The arrows are for Australians (we drive on the LHS) and forget the black overpass near the M1 route marker at the bottom. A bit of a challenge I think.quote> Ah, the [M80] Western Ring Road and [M1] West Gate Fwy interchange. I think it's one of the best interchanges in melbourne

It doesn't seem to work for me. I have made a 'UKEnglish' folder in my Simcity 4 folder, moved the DAT (simcitylocale) file into it, and changed the language to '13' Any ideas why?
