Back in High School I was very much into history and I even considered to study it at University... I took another direction though, but I'm still interested.

Nice pictures of your present day New York. Your reservoir attempt is quite outstanding. Also the region view looks impressive so far.

Ah the Upper West Side, I like the "then and now" approach. I also like that Maxis apartment building that you made into 3. I forget the name of that building but it is similar to the Pratt, another Maxis building. That looks cool having three of them combined into one like that.

The only thing I don't like is the ashy road mod. Have you considered removing it? I think it would look much better without.

Artur_001   Thank you very much. Well, the buildings are MAXIS, really, I just edited them in the LE to get three of them on a 3x4 field. And I had to cover some high tech industry, so these were a good choice. I don't know the English word for this building, I even don't know the German expression- if you like I could send it to you via mail, just PM me.

Bombshoo   lol that's cool, thank you. The tiny airport in Manhattan is an airport tram, just to boost commercial demand.

Schulmanator   Thanks a lot, Bruce, glad you like it. Well, yes, the feeling is so much different compared to the Upper East Side, as this has always been the more... traditional side of  Central Park (which is ok, but the Upper West Side is- ideoligally seen- more mixed up).

art128   Thanks a lot, Arthur, well, there are so many different areas NYC has to offer- it's crazy, but if you go a few more blocks north of 86th street you find yourself in a completely different neighborhood. That's what I liked very much about NYC, or in my case, Manhattan. I stayed next to Tompkins Square Park, last time, down in East Village, and walking a few blocks further meant staying right in the middle of a public housing project. Almighty Nienaber   lol thanks a lot. Yes, it's really amazing, one day you are on page one, the other day you find yourself on.. what? page 12, which is really going fast. Well, downtown will be shown only next year, I am sorry. First, we have to finish Manhattan from 86th Street upwards North, as the audience had voted. Then, we go down on the other side, make a huge stop at midtown, and yes, then, finally, downdowndown lol Manhattan is going to be shown. Thank you very much, and I hope you like the other updates in the meantime.

NinjaJoe   uhh, these factories I downloaded at ST and SCD, I can't even remeber their names. Concerning the malls: these are mainly made of airport puzzle pieces, as I couldn't really find a mall that I could use in different ways. Thanks a lot, just PM for specific questions.

You are right about hte ashy road mod- when looking things up in GE an local.live I didn't feel that the streets are looking so dark, so I decide to take the ashy roads mod, even if it is not he best choice.  A mixture of the MAXIS's and the ashy one would be great. The Upper West Side along the Hudson River, shown at 70th Street. As you can see, the old conrail Piers got significantly transformed:

Well, this is coming along nicely. Very nifty work with that interchange. This shows how difficult it can is to do recreations. if you do something fictional you can go around these tricky things. Good solution though, really .

Well I must say that the outcome is amazing.... but I have a couple questions...

1) How do you do to make the streets without the palms on them??? cause I tried the no palms mod, but it only works on the roads, if a buildings grow on a one side road the palms appear...help with that one

2) Are the buildings plopped or they just grew with time??
