cmdp123789   Thanks a lot. To answer your questions: 1) the no palms mod is fine, but I also have the streetside mod (made by jeronij, I guess). This converts the palms to normal trees and ads parked cars, too. 2) Most of the buildings are grown, only landmarks and specific buildings are plopped, just to get closer to reality. Hope I could help.

Woah, after ages of not having updated my CJ, because I was extremely buzy with RL and didn't have no time at all to play SC4, the following update is a little different to the other ones. It is an interim-update showing you some impressions of both midtown and Harlem.

So, sorry for the long wait, hopefully the next, real update will be ready by the end of this week.

Here we go with the long-awaited update, back to routine-style. One week later than expected, though, sorry for this. This is focusing on Riverside Park South, located at the Westside of Manhattan, were a huge re-structuring and re-building of this area is going on by Real Estate tycoon Donald Trump. The area has been experiencing a total make-over and is far away from being finished. However, we start a little bit south, around 58th street:

Buildings to be demolished and new buildings ready to be rent: typical for NYC:

Improved public housing on 66th Street:

I want to use New York's map and transport grid, so, my question is: How did you work out laying down all the roads in Manhattan? What are your dimensions for a typical city block? Nice update. I have to give you props. Because designing parts of Manhattan is very impossible when you are looking for valid buildings and avoiding too much repetition. When I designed Midtown Hypertrophy on p.10, It took me three months, because I was looking for buildings that would fit the streets I have designed, plus had to avoid some repetition which was hard. But most of all, when you're designing Midtown NYC, it must look completey densely populated to fit the scenery. This is what I went through in my CJ "City of Hypertrophy", so I give you mad props. ::::high five:::: because, it's difficult and I love the work and effort you put out. I can't wait until you have it completed. Keep up the good work and Happy Holidays.

True, NYC definitely has some kind of charm or appeal. Probably not only for Europeans like us... New York is a world city. I think you won't find that same charm in another city.

Great update, I like that redevelopment area a lot. Amazing details with the trails, parks, industry, parking lots and construction sites... I haven't seen many CJs with that amount of details in urban areas. It's very credible like that. Also the public housing looks very realistic.
