A wonderful start to Alba Serena 2! I was expecting to see a lot of modern high-rises in the city, but it's got a more classical, central European feel to it. I love how you've combined the best of European architecture with tropical shorelines; if only the water in Europe was that clear.....

I can't wait to see more!

    NEW REPLIES :

New and old buildings go together well. Glad you loved Etretat, I’ll make an update soon, Alba Serena 1 is currently stopped but it’ll come back. Thanks for your comment.

    NMUSpidey

Well… this beautiful (and virtual) house is really mine, but perhaps it's not... I think that next updates will tell more.

Thanks for your comment ! Yes I love high-rises and I’ve a lot of them in my game, but for a little island like Esmeralda, too much towers would be a problem because there’s few terrain for build. And yes I love the mix of architecture, but it’s very hard to do lol

    threeswept

Thank you very much, yes I wanted my region be a little paradise for the sims, and as you’ll see in the next update, it is !

Update 17 – Adventures in islands, part II -The six columns of Esmeralda

Some pictures are in full resolution.

Three days before, I was in my little appartment of Corsica, and now, I live in a palace. The dome is made of gold and the facades are in white marble, the roof is made with blue stones. Why was it on sale at low-costs? I don’t know, but I’m searching for the reason. There’s certainly an explanation. But it’s very beautiful house. Just a little too big for me...

    esm011uf0.jpg

But, while waiting for my situation be more clear, I continue ma visit of the island. Inhabitants of Esmeralda are big workers. As you can see, they’re busy, really very busy. Beaches are everywhere, it’s a little paradise.

    bl01ad5.jpg

People are very nice with me, everybody knows my name and greets me with respect. I don’t understand why.

    esm035qs8.jpg

    esm043no2.jpg

    esm036vt2.jpg

    esm038ew3.jpg

Today, I’ve got acquainted with three people, who apparently are working for me. I have a private car, a grey limo, and a chauffeur, Paul. I have also a gardener, Philip, and a secretary, Patricia. Now, there’s nothing anymore who astonishes me here.! But there’s a little problem.....I’ve no money to pay them.

    team2rfj7.jpg

Furthermore, something worries me : I can’t make phone calls out of the archipelago. Telephone calls seems impossible with the outside world. The same goes for sending letters : it’s too impossible because there’s neither post office, nor mailboxes. There’s not airport, and no boat who arrives or leaves since the one which brought me here has left the port. A lot of questions without answers…

    esm037vk2.jpg

    esm040dm9.jpg

    esm044go9.jpg

    esm041pp3.jpg

    esm045zf4.jpg

    esm032fa2.jpg

    esm033xt3.jpg

While walking along the island, I discovered an hidden place. Here, all seems abandoned, and jungle is everywhere. Six giant columns stand on both sides of an interrupted road. That reminds me that yesterday I found in a drawer an old book writen in italian with a map of the island, who’s talking about these columns. I must try to have more information.

    esm046dc6.jpg

But now it’s time to return at home. The sun goes down on the horizon, and inhabitants are leaving the beaches. Always smiling and polite, it seems that they have neither things to worry about, nor problems in their life. However, I still don't know how this archipelago is governed. It seems that here one lives in autarky. Back in my wonderful palace, Philip greets me with respect. As certainly he knows better me this country, I ask him :

    - Can you tell me who leads this archipelago ?

    - It is you, Your Excellency !

    wowbp2.jpg

More adventures with the next update.

Thanks for your visit, hope you’ve enjoyed !

I love the beach scenery... and the columns are a welcome surprise. I wonder if there's some exciting mystery behind them...

An unusual tale. But fun. 9.gif

Fantastic resort. That hotel looks like an overturned ship! Good theme, I think. And what a wonderful collection of BATs I've never seen before. 9.gif

Wow... just finished looking at your CJ... I must say that I'm really impressed! When I was looking at your update on page 8, the one about the flying dream... I must admit that I didn't read it, I was looking at the pictures, and all of a sudden while examining the last one I couldn't help but saying out loud, "On dirait l'Aiguille et les falaises d'Étretat..." I'm a big fan of Maurice Leblanc books on Arsène Lupin you see... So that picture reminded me of "L'Aiguille Creuse" one of his best novel in my opinion, Anyhow, reading your following comment stating that it was in fact a rendition of Étretat I was doubly astonished... You really have created a plausible Étretat "atmosphere" in that particular update.

Besides that update I must say that I like your style, you put your heart in what you do and it shows.

Je te souhaite tout le succès que tu mérite et je suis sur que ton, ou tes CJ, iront loin!

    -John

     Encore une fois BRAVO!

    NEW PERSONAL REPLIES

    Schulmanator
Yes I’m working hard on a new and mysterious island !

    suplado!
This island will be more “wild” than the previous.

    hahaha
No, Pedro has lost his duck and everybody is searching for it.

    Zelgadis

Yes, after “pelican story”, I thought that living myself these adventures was more fun. And I’ve fun writing them too.

    feliwi

Thank you for your visit. In fact I think that it’s more easy to make beaches with simply terraforming the ground, than with the ploppables beaches of the game whose borders are visibles through the water.

Thank you, my next update is under construction.... lol.
