Todays update is about Northern Downtown area..it comes a bit late because I have been working into a new city.

Anyways here you have the 4th Update of Lankota:

Now, I must welcome you to the worst area of downtown..north Downtown! Pure crap..old commercial stuff, a little crime and lots of dirty back alleys full of worker cars:

And that was North Downtown..what do you think? I think it is not a good place to waste your nice time haha..anyways that was the feeling I was looking for..it really feels crappy, bland and boring, and that is what I wanted lol..anyways I have something new for you, people:

TEASER TIME:

ASSINIBOINE, SASKATCHEWAN!

Yea, it is a new CJ by me, located in Saskatchewan, it gives a Regina feeling, and I think it is my best work in Simcity 4. It is in the beggining though..this is going to take me lots of time because neighbourhoods are growable, which means doing a lot of lot in Lot Editor getting as much custom content as I feel like. So everything in that new one is lotted by me. Except a few ones which match my lots.

So here it is a little teaser about Assiniboine, Saskatchewan:

And finally, Saskatchewan Ave. where it gets pedestrian..that is a trendy street, and those buildings have lots of history:

Wow that update was just about perfect. The city looks very north american and using the plopable water has made it look very realistic. I like the bridge with the gradual slope and the parks with the use of the RRP trails looks really realistic

Right in the middle of the screen: Is that an angled street, or a curved road joined to northbound and eastbound streets?

I haven't got the hang of curved roads yet.  The curved segments end up in the way of intersections or end up conflicting with uneven terrain.

I am glad you like those parks, I had to redo those lots in Lot Editor like 5 times because I was missing something each time I was running the game, first I missed people, the I redid the lot, later realised that I missed trash cans and benches etc etc so they took a little too much time! Anyways that road that you say in the middle of the image is a curvy 45º road from the set and then a default 45º road from Maxis. Then streets eastbound and westbound. thanks a lot!

Assiniboine looks very, very nice! Of course, a city made by you isn't complete without an awesome W2W district. I like how you made it a pedestrian-only street, that definitely makes it have a historical feel. Also, good use of the parking lots behind the buildings. I think I see some unreleased BAT's in there, you are certainly lucky. Keep up the good work!

Well, I missed a lot. North Downtown in Lankota looks good, and I like the teasers for Assiniboine, although I think you've gone way beyond what teasers normally are. Hope you're enjoying your holidays.
