    Additionals for SCA

    At the start

When you click on the buddhist temple at the desk board, the logos for the devolpers and producers will come up. After that comes an intro:

It starts with a virgin land. Then some roads and ancient egyptian buildings appears. With marketplaces and a farao palace and some pyramids. After that comes a little bit bigger Greco-Roman city. With amphibian theaters, forums, colusseums, a palace etc. Then a medival european city which simply is a village and a majestic castle. Half a kilometre away, lays a viking village, where the inhabitants are planning to attack the city. They succed, but the vikings get more civilized and is managing to make the city larger. Then switching to an industrial city a city covered with smoge and smoke, the river is high toxic and dirty. Almost everyone is sick. Switching to a 30's capitalistic metropolis. With skyscrapers of officing, an international stock exchange, and an entertainment area. Suddenly it's attacked by loads of tanks, shooting at the buildings and making them collaps. After a while, it turns to an orwellian nightmare city. Then loads of demonstrators is attacking the government. This finally turns thecity to a calm, scandinavia-alike ecotopia. Plus that in the centre it's a gospling high-tech downtown. And in the centre lays the Deep Thought. And then it says, "and the answer is...". Then a going-inside camera move towards the computer and then a big text saying; SIMCITY ANYTHING.

Then the start screen appears. It has five buttons: Earth Mode (Planet Icon), Region Mode (Square Net Icon), Settings (Pen Icon), BAT (Pencil Icon) and Network Connection (Two PC:s Icon). To quit, just press the Escape Key.

    - When you click on the planet a digital clone of Earth (Only difference is that man hasn't effected anything here) will appear. As I said before, the definition is stunning 5 cm2. Here it reminds of an evolved program of Google Earth. When you want to build a new city, you just click on the red flag and put it where you want build. But you can't build on the Atlantic Ocean, because it's really stormy out there (Yes, the game contains real weather).

    - When you click on the net, if you play here for the first time, a message will pop up and tell what kind of ground the first city is going to be covered of. If you've played here once before or more, your region is going to appear. How to start is just like in SC4. But when you want to put life into your city, the options will be more. You choose nationality, difficulty (Nightmare, Strategic, Easy, Sandbox), how many simoleons to start with (10000 to Unlimited) and of course, the name of your city.

    - When you click on the pen icon, the setting will appear. It's the ordinary; Graphics, Sound and Game.

    - When you click on the pencil icon, there will be six kinds of editors; Building, Plants, Sims, Vehicles, Texture and Decoration. Remember the jungle thing I mentioned? Well, come to the plant editor if you're not pleased. At the sim editor, you can create new special sims. Also you can create new personality values and ambitions. The texture and decoration editor are there to have more freedom of choice at the building, sim, plant and vehicle editor. At the building editor, you can also create new zones and even new social values. You can create new climates, wheelchairs, companies etc. The possibilities are endless.

    - Network Connection here below.

    Network Gaming

HabLeUrg mentioned before about multiplaying a city. By winning with the biggest and richest city. But I think that you should be able to set for other goals, for example most happy sims, when each city hits a specific number of inhabitants.

Another mode in multiplayer, is Chaos Mode. This means that two or more players are playing on one city at the same time (!). Two players with two different pl

What do you mean unfair? Am I stealing viewers from other topics just by TITLE!?

    Explain, I'm confused. 42.gif

Besides, I've only double-posted twice, and already your getting mad. I just want to keep this topic alive.

And we should be able to make armies and declare war and bomb each others cities and pilfer lands , id love to liberate the sims of  El Burro s region .16.gif

This is a wish list ,yes , and not actually scs gameplay as it is ? .

Interesting ,but shouldnt this be at the EA site or TM where the people that could actualy make it happen may see it ? .

I didnt realise SCS had trains , and roads in any direction ,i thought they was missing and square 90 s only .

Sorry , I'm not member there. And as Joe-2-10-2001 said, those forums were pure Iraq. And I don't even want to join any form of militrary pact, like the Peace Force (Swedish Army).

Sorry Deep Thought, SCS is a terrible game. It made me (and hundreds of other people) despise EA and Tilted Mill even more. I doubt EA would do any of that.

Putting it in the game dev's perspective, what you are wanting would be extremely tedious to do. It's also not that logical, it would be too overwhelming and complicated for a new user, and maybe some previous players. Not to mention, Societies might already be a dead game.

    Just my two pennies.

If you read every single word I've written, just imagine what you would do, if this was for real. Oh, and Gridlock, thanks for the warfare idea. I'll take it!

Then, I would like to add a fue more things I forgot:

    Electricity

The power lines are back, but they will be layed out automaticly. They're ugly and takes space, but you can solve that.

These are the different power plants:

    -Coal

    -Oil

    -Fission

    -Solar

    -Wind

-Hydro (Try to find a place that is logical for a damm)

    -Wave (Out at sea)

    -Garbage

    -Bio Fuel

    -Fusion

    -Anti Matter

    -Hydrogen

    -Microwave

-Gun Powered (All of the town's guns are used to shoot at special board, which vibrates and gives electricty)

    -Natural Gas

    -Geological (Risk of volcano eruption)

    -Man powered (Cruel, but effective)

    -Mega Wind [Edited 01-25 2008]

In cities before industrial revolution, your buildings won't be needing electricty.

The sims can also work here.

    Actions and building control

Pay a special sum to do these different actions:

    -Underground highways

    -Underground power lines

-Alternative fuels (All cars selled in the car salesmen, will add no CO2)

    -Movie premiere

-Sign in for a special event

    And so on.

When you click the info button, a window with a map will pop up. When you click on one one of the zones, a map of that zone and a little information about it will come up. You can also click away to each building, to see a camera view of the building and some info about it. On the zone map, the service buildings such as hospitals and fire stations, will be marked with big icons. On the city view, the service buildings will have a huge sign on the roof, which tells what building it is. For example, the hospital will be marked with the red cross (Red half moon, if you're playing a muslim city). And how these signs will look like, will change after what city you're playing. This muslim one, gave a pre-taste.

OK, from now on, no critics of the title, me or the game itself. Just tell YOUR Dream City. Some additionalls for this game are also fine, but not to different ones.

EDIT Jan 25th 08: I just read in a gizmo magazine, about a huge wind mill. This wind power plant will supply same much electricity as 1000 ordinary mills.

    Well, Ajöken!

Ok now stop making pointless posts. You already know none of this will ever be included in one game within the next 30 years or so. Thats too much stuff. And at first you said you like SCS the way it is.... Yet you want to add all of this stuff SC4 has in it. You make absolutely no sense.

And RAM that surpasses a terabyte (anyone got the term?).

The title is a bit off though, you should say "My idea: Sim City Anything".

    Deep Thought.. just ignore them.

I know. They are just as annoying as people opening a whole new topic, just to write down some stuff about how they rather prefer SCS or writing a few things they liked in SCS.

I love the fact that you're bleeding ideas here...

But If I were you, I would stop here, wait (and pray) for CU to come soon, pop in SC4, and enjoy it's last 20 or so months.

Hell, it is what it is. And that "it" that I'm referring to is SimCity: Societies - a game widely considered to be the worst SC yet...

You guys can say we're wrong for bashing it, deriding it, and boycotting it... but at the end of the day, the game will still suck... and from the moment our hopes of realism were crushed by the cartoonish, european, child-like, and utterly disgusting display of money-hunger (the first scs screenshot), we all knew that it would. (sorry, but unfortunately, It's true. 15.gif )

Hey... let's enjoy some good 'ol SC4...

    How your city grows

When you pop up the Away Zone window, seven values will be showen; Density, Productivity, Wealth, Creativity, Spirituality, Obedience and Knowledge.

    Density

Here, it is simply, the bigger town, the taller, larger and more effective buildings.

    Productivity

This one and the five below, will get more advanced as you lay out more zones of that social value. They have these advancity points, and they don't just grow by laying out more zones.

Produced by: Highways, very happy sims, recycled materials, slum homes (Edited architecture type), some of the accessories

Effects: More effective Cargo Zone. Power plants produces more electricity. Worplaces makes more money. Decrease the happiness effect in the venues. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Wealth

Office Zones makes the shops in your town to work.

Produced by: Huging Campians (They do in RL prevent poverty), stock comets, economical resarch zones (Edited Knowledge Zone), airports, some of the accessories

Effects: As your sims can afford more now, they will become happier. Your sims will also consume more, making Mother Nature taking a big hit. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Creativity

The more you lay out of these zones, the more happiness the venues will create.

Produced by: Hosting the Simovision Song Contest, some of the accessories

Effects: Different artworks will be edited in the interior of the buildings, making your sims happier. Bigger chance to win and host the SSC. Industries less effective. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Spirituality

Produced by: Ancient and medival cities will get a bonus on all religions (Exception: Crystalism), some of the accessories

Effects: Crime will be lower than usual. Intelligent people will in most religions, be seen as witches. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Obedience

Produced by: These zone sare normally growing faster than the other five because you are leader and it isn't that hard to become a dictator in your city. Some of the accessories.

Effects: Your sims will obey you. Most of your sims won't have a "disturbing" mood like very happy or angry. Your sims will have a restricted creativity. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Knowledge

Produced by: To make these buildings to work, you need an educational area, because to make your sims smart, you need somewhere where your sims can learn things. Hosting the SimExpo, some of the accessories

Effects: All the other zones will become more boost in advancity increase. Risque for mad scientists to appear and create chaos in the city. Risque for poverty will decrease. Unlocks some of the accessories.

    Here is an example of how the different values can look like;

    D (Tower logo): 264

    P (Spade logo): 218

    W (Simoleons logo): 244

    C (Note logo): 310

S (Local dominant religion logo): 189

O (Local dominant government logo): 201

    K (Brain logo): 432

This is probably how Stockholm's statitics would look like in the game.

Newly added sub-catgory in Obidience; Warfare

Well, still waiting for your city

    Best Regards,

    Deep Thought

Hehe , i was jking , i have 10 s of wars games come city building rts games .

Personaly i was hoping the 5th sim city would just be an updated regular game with lots of *new* goodies, although i do enjoy the military bats of sc4 and the theme , i wouldnt realy want sc to be about wars and conquest.

To me sim city is similar to keeping a garden .

While I definitely don't love the game, your ideas are good, I think a lot of your ideas could definitely improve the game, and make it enjoyable although I'm not sure the best of computers could handle all of that.

I love the way "Deep Thought" still carries on posting his ideas.

Just stop right there kiddo - Im afraid to say EA will not listen to you.

Although I must say that you do have a couple of ideas that could be well developed,

    most are far too complicated.
