Then I have failed in berating you...And the fact that I could recognize such a generic building as what it actually was speaks of the quality of your initial BAT (if poorly colored and a bit out of proportion).

It needs to be scaled down to about 70% of it's current height.  It's also got a rather narrow footprint.  Also, if you darken the textures quite significantly (probably to around a 70% gray to display in game as a proper white...where 100%=white in the texture itself)

Haha, thanks for the advice. It's actually not my BAT, I'm sorry if I worded it like it was mine. I could just leave your feedback to the BATter, but I'm not trying to steal someone's work. But I've looked at the building and if I could get my BAT program to work that would be the first building that I would do. Anyway, lol thanks anyway. You're a heck of a lot better BATter than I could ever be...I have some stupid-looking 3D models that I have shoved away so noone can see...lol. And no, you haven't failed in berating. But I must say the BATter is not bad. I don't even know if he's around annymore...I don't remember if it was from simcity.com or what...

Wow...these pictures are terrible.  The only remotely interesting one in this entire thread was Carmine_Hilton's picture a while back...and it was only interesting for about two seconds.  Then the lackluster BAT selection and bland placement came into focus and sucked all the fun out of it.  The last three pictures...well, they were hard to rate, because it was hard to look at them long enough to rate them without getting nauseous.  I tried my best, though:

xlchrisij: The Gateway Arch?  Really?  There wasn't a better centerpiece for your failed attempt at a Champs-Elysees-wannabe-avenue than the Gateway Arch?  And in a park with like 5 trees, no less!  Wow.  Those blank and boring plazas really highlight the quality of this picture, and I love how you saved space between those way-too-overused houses to show us just how horrible the Maxis powerlines really look.

-6.5/-10.  Do Simtropolis a favor and find some seawalls.  In real life.  And jump off of them.  Don't do that for real.

IDS2: I think you need to run into one of those many retaining walls in your picture at full speed on a motorcycle.  Maybe that might knock some city designing skills into you...maybe.  Ever heard of Avenues? Or even One-ways?  No need in asking if you've ever heard of City Beautification.  Compton and East St. Louis rejoice.

-9.5/-10.  Will Wright himself should sue you for slander to the name of SimCity.  Expect a letter in the mail next week.

capspervg: Plain grass, eh?  You think bordering plain grass with tiny trees is interesting?  Is that what's hot on the streets?  Did you want to have a lot of open space to have a picnic with that Basket Building there?  Is that it?  Or maybe you didn't want anything to obstruct the view of those ugh-inspiring repeated Maxis Buildings?  I give you this, though: as crappy as two obelisks are as a centerpiece, they're still better than one Gateway Arch.

-6/-10.  'G' is the best letter on the Keyboard.  Use it.
