Great planning! Question: How did you get those ramps to go up on the picture before last?

Excellent/Great/Teriffic update!

I couldn't decide which adjective to use so I put them all.2.gif

Great use of elevated roads, I know I can't find very many for them.

Amazing work here, Haljackey 3.gif. I can't wait to see what develops there, but I'm sure the Sims will have a good network to drive on 19.gif

I'll be waiting22.gif....

fantastic work with the avenue causeway, really well dealt with, however i have my reservations about the red rail bridge being so close to land, surely an overland detour would be much cheaper...?

frogface:  Hehe, me too!  Thanks for the comments!

Godzillaman:  I ain't no king!  (Double negative).  Cool video!

sEAhAwk fAn121:  Thanks!  Glad you like it!

    Smarty218:  Thanks!

-Answer:  Thats the NAM lateral ramps.  They are in the parallel interchange section of the highways menu, next to the Euro interchanges.

Twenty20:  Thanks!  Glad I impressed you!

    kj3400:  Thanks a bunch!

bbfan02:  Thanks a lot!  I cannot wait either!

un1:  No problem!  I am not sure on a population estimate right now.  I would roughly guess 100-200K residents, with a similar amount of jobs.

Patricius Maximus:  Thanks!  I cannot wait either!  Stay tuned!

-Also, I see you provided a link to this CJ in your sig.  That's awesome!

mightygoose:  Thanks, glad you like the causeway!

-About the rail bridge, it was actually put in before the land was properly terraformed.  Thus, it looks like the land beside it is "Filled in", because it actually is!

    edmonton_stinks:  Suburbs?  We'll see....

    Update time!

Well, I'm all set to go!  This will be the last pre-development update of Terran Settlement.  Take one last look at the area, for it will not be the same next time!

    Picture Information:

    NOTICE:  Please Read!

Before I post some pictures of my cities, please know that I strive for the best quality of my images possible.  Every picture from here on-in is not photoshopped in any way, and is taken directly from the game to show you exactly what I see in the game.  The only editing done is converting the .PNG file to .JPEG.

***IMPORTANT***    Also, please know that my pictures are COMPRESSED, and are NOT RESIZED! When you resize a picture, a ton of the image's quality is lost, and is shrunk to comply with ST's picture size limits.  Compressing the image retains the quality, but looks terrible when squeezed to comply with site limits.

But, I have found a loophole in this problem.  Each compressed picture displayed will be linked to the actual uncompressed, true image.  All you have to do to view the image in its FULL RESOLUTION (1920x1200) is to simply click on the compressed image displayed in this city journal (800x500).  The reason that the images are not 800x600 is because I present my pictures in widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), making the image much more appealing for the human eye's stereoscopic vision.

If you have any questions or comments about how I display my images, feel free to post a reply.

Updated as of March 28th, 2008: All images hereon in are in High-Definition! (1920x1200).  Make you sure you click on 800x500 photos in the CJ to see them in excellent quality!

Looks great, I wouldn't want to live in between the water, the avenue/RHW overpass and the interchanging highways though 4.gif

I'll be sure to watch for the next update!

caspervg:  Why?  Its a highly valued spot, there will be no suburbs there!

    Update time!

Like the subheading said, this is a MAJOR UPDATE!   It will show the construction of Terran Settlement from the ground-up!

A skyline will rise out of nowhere, all thanks to the planning in advance. (Hey, what did you think all those past updates were for???)

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the update.  An update like this only comes once in a while, so feel free to take it all in!

Looks like Landmark Row is going to get some new neighbours!

Remember this hilly section that was tricky to plan?  Looks like it paid off, developers love it!

    Construction along the highway:

The industrial area is beginning to take shape too!

Huge complexes tower over the RHW.

Wow, when I noticed that you updated I maybe almost fainted 46.gif (a little over dramatic), Wow, Wow that is so cool!!! I really got to plan stuff like this for my cities!! One question, What is that tall building in picture one on the direct left of the causeway, and did you expect demand to be so low?? That is strange. Still, wow, wow, wow... 10.gif35.gif44.gif

A very MASSIVE and COMPLEX CJ! The way the CJ was put together was done very nicely with the fullest detail, but I think your transportation system is a bit too massive and a bit messy as well. I bet it must be hectic for the heads of your Transit Athority to keep and maintain a massive system like that running at its top effecancy. Also the city is a bit disorganized as well. plus it seems that your city is having some problems with its transportation system due to the vast population of both Residential and Commercial Population as well as the construction and de-construction that is happening in your city. This would have a major impactto your city's Residetial and Commercial population and its demand as well as your city's and/or your States finances and funding. I hope that your city wont file for bankruptcy in the near future. Also tell Gary that he did one hell of a job covering the city's trafic report! Plus nice tour of the cityscape and mass highway and road system. I probably would live there though because of all of this. Plus the Skyline is spread out too much. it is also a hazard for commercial and freight aircrafts. Overall its a good place but it has its letdowns as well as eye-sores, but dont be discoraged from what I say. It still has large potential. In closing its a great, not to mention massive, CJ! Keep up the good work! P.S. I might help you with your logo. P.P.S. The Umbrella Coporation has selected your city to be a new home of an expation of its corporation, but you will be on the waiting list.
