the weirdest thing.. and it happens to me all the time. I get this sudden urge to play a game that I havent in years, for no particular reason. Right now I have the urge to play Runescape 3.gif. Too bad I'm not a member anymore. So what games have you guys drug out of the closet because you got a sudden urge to play?

Tropico is a game I still play, even though its an oldie. Its mostly because of the funny gameplay and the micro-management opportunity and the joy of being an evil dictator! 11.gif

I used to get this all the time with Superpower 2... the game is very buggy and crashes all the time, but the thought of taking over the US with Iraq or Fiji is too much of a tantalizing oppertunity to turn down... even if the game does crash once you've annexed California.

Another game I used to get cravings for was Dance Ejay.

Isn't weird how the games you get cravings for are utter crap? rofl

I still am a member of Runescape, and occassionally I'll play it, even though I spend most of my gaming time on World of Warcraft or BETA testing Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor. It certainly has it's fun side, but I've hit the stage now where levellin skills is so tedious I just don't bother, and also at the point where there are not enough quests at my skill levels to help me level up. The only ones I have left are too high for my skills...

I recently had the urge to pull out DBZ Budokai 3 (not the new one) out from my shelf. After dusting it off, I remembered it as probably the best side-on fighter for the PS2 (yes, even better than Tekken, Mortal Combat and Street Fighter). I honestly don't think I've ever played a side-on fighter like it! Now after watching a video of the new version (the free-roaming version) and I think that even if you don't like DBZ the games are a must!

When in doubt, trouble, depression, hysteria or otherwise, I turn to STAR WARS to satisfy my gaming needs.

I sometimes get terrible cravings to play First Person Shooters, usually COD2 (wich will turn to COD4 now), Battlefield 1942 or, if all else fails, i'll play Counter Strike online and get killed many many times.

I'm a generation behind you... I've been playing some classic SNES games lately, particularly Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2.

I'm re-hooked on Sid Miers "Colonization" right now. Perhaps because of its minor Sim City features. 1994 and still going strong!

Yes, it's very strange. Often I feel like going back and playing some of my old PSX games on my PS3 here and there. Just the other day I felt like going back and playing some of my Crash Bandicoot games (the original series on PlayStation, not the crappy remake series). I think it's the fact that those games are just pure fun and gaming, while now games are more focused on graphics and online gaming, etc.

It happens. Those unexpected sudden urges can be pesky. Doesn't have to be about playing a video game, though. I often get urges to start on some sort of weird pointless project. And then I do.

It's dangerous, though, because if it happens late in the evening it's all to easy for me to start it, keep working on it, and then suddenly realize that it's 3 AM and I've been working on it for six hours....

All the time. It lasts for a couple months, then I'll get tired of it again and won't play it anymore. There's very few games that I play where that doesn't happen, such as Super Smash Bros, Burnout, and of course, Sim City.

Darn, now you have me hooke on to Age of Mythology too!

I usually crave to play runescape, its a lvl 101 account so its hard to get it higher. I usually just get my old PS1 out and play some of the greates games of all time (Spyro, Crash Bandicoot...)
