A controversial remodeling of the Vía Mayor in downtown Interior. This is a wide avenue with clear lines of sight, designed to host military parades and public demonstrations -- but now it has a cheeky central park running down the middle, benches and even a number of small trees.

To be fair, the tram station had been sitting there for some time now, to very little complaint.

     Seeing lots of fantastic city center designs all-around, everyone!!     

 

Time to visit one of my classics from the Kingdom of Borike, the city of Baramaya! Its urban growth has swallowed most of the surrounding farmland, giving room to a new (still in development) coastal neighborhood!

The city reconsidered its relationship to large transportation facilities, and opted to convert the freeway into a wide avenue, opening up pedestrian continuity and formerly freeway-adjacent areas to commercial development. Closer to the coast, a new elevated railway line, medium density development and a broad beach front open up leisure and living opportunities!

 

There's still several large blocks pending development, debating which ones should become a large urban park, and which ones should become more inner city development.
