My Downtown in pictures!

Fantastic downtown!! A couple suggestions for next time you take in-game pics: 1) turn off the grid, 2) turn off the UDI bubbles. It will give your pictures a better presentation.

Besides that, your downtown looks awesome!

@sowenesti: Yes, great downtown, but I might try to vary the content a little. Still, if it's all grown...that's quite impressive.

@simcitymaster13: I like that the city is centered with one CBD, not just a mess of skyscrapers. But maybe detail the area around the highway more...with buildings or maybe some trees or such. Very nice still, however.

@Evillions: need I even say it? Impressive stuff mate.

Keep calm and take photographs.

Very impressive TowerDude!

May I express some concern about the pitch of that jet? Looks like it's headed for a nose-dive into the water.

Wow. That's really cool! I love the New York look, and the photoshopping is the icing on the cake.

Great job to everyone! And TowerDude, your American City looks great! I love your Asain style cities, so this is really good!

In a new region I've installed, I've built a small scale city with a modest downtown. It's been named Ori'enne, as a tribute to my grandmother Orienne who is right now in the Hospital.

It looks nice, Archean, though a bit too American for my personal taste :ducky:

Also, where is that large, blue roofed warehouse building to the right from?

Oh, and I do hope that your grandmother get well again!

Barnet CBD East End

The bottom right of Screen displays Barnet Central Station, the busiest station in the Barnet Metropolitan area which is home to around 1.5 million people, most of whom live in low density sprawl. Barnet is a major city in the nation of Bokokonk (Named after a major indigenous tribe). To the left of screen, the iconic Alfred Barnet Hall marks the centre of the CBD. The west end (not displayed in this picture) is much less developed than the East End but has begun to see significant growth since the building of the Barnet Underground Rail Loop which services the northern and western parts of the CBD.

I still haven't figured out how to load pics properly, hence the poor image quality and once I do, I will be starting a city journal on the nation of Bokokonk including it's major cities and towns.

Thanks citiesxlfan42, Roger51, selles and LostSoul! In fact, only the first pic is (slightly) photoshopped, I added a vignette effect and made the colours a bit washed out. I tried the same technique on the second pic, too but it lost it's sunset feel so I decided to show the original one :) And most of the buildings are plopped - this is how I achieved it :D

Here's a black&white shot of the 30's NYC Downtown
