Does anyone have the link for the grey power pylons?  The red and white maxis ones are not to my liking... A PM would be spiffing.

Can I suggest running the game on turtle when you take the screen shots?  ..rather than having the yellow pause border..  and turning off the UDI icons would be good for your pics as well.

Hey everyone! Here is update 42! This is a big one!

This is part 2 of 2 showing Goodson County. This update shows you the residential parts of the two cities currently in the county. I played around with the effects and I added a few bonus pictures. And for another added bonus, I am going to show you the pictures of the sunken highway and rail that I fixed. So, if you have any questions, comments or tips for me, please, don't hesitate to tell me. I hope you enjoy this huge update!

    -bbfan02-

Below: This residential neighborhood is greatly impacted by the sunken rail to the south and the highway to the west. This is the outskirts of the town of Lumbey.

    goodsoncountymar1310119ct4.jpg

Below: A bordering neighborhood that borders a section of the sunken rail.

    goodsoncountymar1510119sr7.jpg

Below: The overview of both neighborhoods and that area.

    goodsoncountymar1710119aa7.jpg

Below: A bonus picture, the area blanketed in a very bad snow storm, and then it changed to rain as seen by the rain drops on the picture.

    goodsoncountymar1710119mg4.jpg

Below: Another suburban neighborhood, now on the western border of Lumbey.

    goodsoncountymar1910119wc7.jpg

Below: The village of Townsend, that borders Lumbey.

    goodsoncountymar2910119iz6.jpg

The next 5 pictures below: The long and winding river that cuts the village in half and goes straight through the surrounding farmland.

The 2 pictures below: The fixed highway and rail sections. It still doesnt seem right. How do I fix it futher?

    Much better.

A hint for the PEG stream/pond kit: Try not to do the curves that regular and rectanguler. Just expand them for example by plopping tw outside and one inside corner in the inner corners to get something diagonal. Or just move the whole river stream one tile to the left or right.

The master of PEG's water lot is Mr. Beer. Just have a look at his CJs.

About the railway / highway slope problem: I guess you don't use a slope mod. Download some of them and play with them. I use the first and rather strict BRF TunnelandSlope - Mod.

With a slope mod you should be able to get smooth grades for both highways and railways. If you don' want them for other projects no problems. You can easily change them between your SC4 sessions.

Interesting that you keep getting lumps. Did you try destroying the affected area and using single street tiles to flatten the area out? Or, it could be one of those situations were the network forces a lump. I've had those before. Hate 'em...

Other than that, looking good. 4.gif I actually like the angular streams. But it all depends on whether you're going for a man-made look or a natural look. If it's the natural look, then Nardo's advice is the way to go. 9.gif

Nice pictures, I like how your are transitioning from far reaches of residential sprawl to farmland. I also like the snow/rain picture... that's what happens a lot here in Northern VA.

Very nice suburbs! I like the refreshing mix of the sunken highway, the farms, trees, the road geekery, and especially the creek 2.gif I'll be stopping by more often.

Very nice downtown shots, I like the combinations of buildings you used. I only have one thing to suggest: Use some plazas. Even using the Maxis ones would be good. Besides that, though, everything looks great. Keep up the excellent work!
