ok, most of my friends went for the PS3 just like I did, but my decission had nothing to do with what they got themselves.

I've been a fan of the PS ever since.

as for the nintendo part, it was more likely a collector's decission to get me the wii because I got *all* nintendo consoles.

the xbox on the last position is because I just can't stand it... or better it's controllers. they just don't fit in my tiny hands (really, my hands are small for a young man's hands)...

plus I don't like the microsoft part of it. gates already controlls my pc, he doesn't need controll my console aswell ;-)

wow GMT. i actaully feel the opposite about the controllers. i like the re-designed 360 controllers. the old xbox controllers were terrible though. i don't like the ps3 controller as much for some reason. i suck at wii so its at the bottom haha

for me the 360 was more affordable. some games are HD and the graphics are a ton better than for my gamecube and n64.

the ring of death was something i thought about but so far i have avioded it (knock on wood) i have a "watercooler" attachment which increases the effectiveness of the cooling system. and i have had no thinkable microsoft problems

I have to say for the gaming standpoint, the Xbox 360 is the best as it has a higher ratio of top games, PS3 is starting to compete, finally but I still feel it is more aimed at being an "entertainment" system rather than a fully fledged gaming rig like the Xbox 360. The Wii is aimed more at the casual/family gamer and certainly serves it's purpose well.

As for the controllers, I love the Xbox 360's as it feels good in your hands, it feels solid and like you could throw it around a bit, the PS3 just feels a bit flimsy and I never liked it's design much and as for the Wii, it's a very cool idea and works well with the type of games released for the Wii but for the more action intense games on the other systems it wouldn't work so well.

I own a 360 but i'd probably get a PS3 if I had the money... after I got other stuff of course. TBH, I only bought the 360 to play GTAIV but I'm growing pretty fond of it. Wii is the best dust collector you can buy.

I was waiting on getting a PS3 (bugs, possible price drop and so on), then when I thought I was ready was when they pulled the unit. Thankfully there returning this month. The best part is it comes with MGS4 which I was going to buy and rumble controler. Plus I have my other two games GTA4 (lockbox edtion +sound track cd), and a dicount on a order of GT5 Prologue, so I'll have all three of the games I wanted and nearly a perfect system (factoring in how long I waited).

I can't wait.

I bought a used Xbox as I wouldn't give Microsoft any of my money (more than I have to anyway). I only bought for a few games and I only paid $75-80 for it. Plus I liked the music feature through the games.

The 360 will likely be another used purchase as well.

The Wii, please, I could give a %$^#.

Well, of those three, the Wii is what I have... and all I care, for, really.

PS3? Feh, too damn expensive due to that useless "Blu-Ray" technology and there are no games exclusively for it that I absolutely must play, anyway.

360? Okay, now it's a white crate instead of a black crate. And it isn't Japanese. I don't trust non-Japanese companies with video games in most cases. Besides which, again, no games exclusively for it that I care about.

The Wii, on the other hand, has Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which alone makes it worth the $250 for the console. And Megaman 9 came out for all 3, but was designed for the Wii and came out there first (The PS3 and 360 versions are ports of the Wii version and have a reduced list of challenges, among other tweaks).

And hey, it's Nintendo. You can never go wrong with Nintendo.

I love my Wii, but the PS3 is awesome as well.

I use it as a upscalling dvd/Blu-Ray player and a gaming system.

Madden 09, NCAAF 09 and Head Coach 09 all look amazing on it. GTA4 is a lot of fun.

Gamefly makes both these systems essential as far as I am concerned.

Wii- I'm a big fan of nintendo systems and games, so I love the Wii. Games such as Super Mario Galaxy and super smash brothers brawl make the Wii great choice. Alough, there are many games that can seem rather 'childish'.

xbox 360- I don't own one, but I think the graphics are really good, and xbox live is a great feature. The red ring of death is definitely something that should be fixed. Now that the price dropped on the 360, I might buy one soon.

PS3- Honestly, a huge waste of money in my opinion. Yea, graphics are good, but at such a high price? Yea, it can play the blu-ray, big deal. And there isn't a game for the ps3 that you can't get on other systems.

The Xbox 360 is my favorite of all.

It's like the Playstation 2 of the next gen consoles. Many great games, Xbox Live and sexy

The Wii is my second favorite. Much fun playing some games on the living room.

The PS3 is my least favorite.

Wii - Good idea with motion sensor, but way too silly and non-serious games.

Xbox 360 - There are no good games for that American. IMO ultra-violent games are just pain and no pleasure.

Eh i like them all but i went for the PS3, 1) i had saved up enough, so i could afford it. I don't want an Xbox, 360, for one it's American, and two it is Microsoft. A very bad combination indeed.

I don't want Bill Gates controlling my console as well as my PC...

You also have to pay to play online... BIIIIG nono in my opinion.

Wii is fun i guess. but you know.. when i want to play games.. i want to play games, i don't want to wave my arms around like a lunatic.

To put it simple, PS3 is the best in the techy bits. Wii is fun for the family, while Xbox 360 is fun for having some serious online gaming sessions.

I own a PS3 which, in my opinion is best(nice design, blu-ray, graet games, etc.). I played on a Wii once and i tought it has childish games, the only thing cool about it is the controller. And then the xbox360 or: why not to buy it:

-the controller is too big for people with non-fat hands and the placement of the joysticks is bad

-why did they name it the 360 it's not really round is it?(maybe it has something to do with the RROD issue?)

- it's made by Microsoft, so it's bound to fail in every way

I've become very fond of my 360... I used to prefer PS3 but after seeing the Price and Graphical comparison between the 2, its not about being a Brand whore anymore, 360 is probably the best value console out of the lot of them for the content, graphics and games you get. I don't know why people give a toss about Blu Ray... weee, 50GB of storage for a Movie or Game that only uses about 15% of that space Max. Its not something to be gleefully proud about, its just a useless waste of money.

Yes, a Nintendo fan willing to admit the 360 is better has emerged.  I will not knock it's excellent graphics and awesome games, and the the Wii has decent graphics and some pretty good games like SSBB.  Still, the Wii just doesn't measure up to me, and if it wasn't for this economic meltdown I might ask for a 360 for christmas.

The PS3 on the other hand is a highly overpriced piece of garbage, and has probably ended the video game business for good for Sony.  Nobody gives a damn about Blu-Ray and most games on the PS3 have been delayed up the arse if not cancelled because it's so hard and expensive to develop a game that makes great use of that half a grand of "gaming enginuity".  I will give them GTA4, but I'm certainly not buying a craptastic system for that when there's so many good race-and-chase games on the 360 and Wii already.

GTA4 is on 360 as well you know! It does seem however that alot of games are being cancelled for the PS3. Sometimes I do think its pricey to produce games for the PS3, but I also think Microsoft has more word in the Games industry these days... especially when EA drops their pants at the first sign of money.

the PS3 is the best system EVER MADE it has the best games, graphics, and its better, it's for hardcore gamers who like war games. The XBOX360 has TERRIBLE GRAPHICS and all those stupid fantasy games, not to mention the controllers, those things are fat and stupid. Dont even get me started on the Wii, that piece of crap is a waste of money in so many ways, the graphics are worst than the PS2 and that stupid motion sensing thing is so innacurate and bad on all games. The Wii's for families with 4 year olds who play Rock Band (which isn't as good as Guitar Hero) all day. So in short here's how it goes.

I personally think that the xbox 360 is the better 1 (im not just say cus i have one)

but it is much cheaper than the ps3 and the wii and is probley the cheapest console out for this generation

the xbox has many of the big game titles and many exclusives the picture quallity is perfect for your money but could be imporoved

the 360 is for more hardcore gamers and THE PS3 HAS COPIED THE 360 WITH THE TROHIE SYSTEM which sort ov looks like the 360 achivments.but the 360 has copied the wii with the new avatars coming this november
