Wii no doubt. It will get good games. They just have to come out first.

edit: dang I accidentally voted 36032.gif

At the moment it's hard to say. At this current time I think it's between the Wii and the 360. The Wii is a brand new idea to gaming and has a lot of potential that Nintendo and the developers can play around with. For pure hardcore gaming, which has become more popular in the last decade or two, the 360 is the machine to use. At the moment the PS3 is far too expensive for what it really is, and the games currently released on it are relatively sub-par (even Resistance: Fall of Man in my opinion).

Looking to the future, the novelty appeal and gaming quality of the Wii I reckon will start to slacken and fall behind the other consoles (although as a gaming machine it is still very good). The 360 will still hold the market as bigger and better games take full advantage of its hardware. However, as the price tag of the PS3 falls and the more anticipated games are released on it it should start to catch up to the 360.

It depends on what games you really want to play to be honest. The way I see it: Novelty games are on the Wii mainly, Shooters and other similar games on the 360, and platformers/racers on the PS3.

Wii, maybe 360 if I had the money and wasn't such a devoted Nintendoid. Quite possibly in the future I could see myself getting a 360.  Never ever in a million years would I buy a PS3, the games ARE sub-par, and for the price tag it is totally ridiculous. Who cares if it has more power then a freaking military computer, who needs that much processing power on a games console? No one.

The games on Wii are wonderfully diverse. I'm sick of hearing people say "it's a kids console". You want action? Red Steel, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, in fact any of the other many Wii games that involve fighting... Nothing about Red Steel or Splinter Cell is childish. Legend of Zelda: TP is an awesome game, and may only appeal to a certain range of people (or so you may think), but that doesn't mean it isn't a fantastic game. The graphics are good enough, no one needs to be able to see every single grain of sand in perfect detail.

The order I rank them in:
Wii
360

I've been a fan of Nintendo for over 20 years, and the Wii is my choice. It's just fun and completely different than the traditional gaming experience.

I mainly play Xbox306 or PC...

Xbox for some great games and one of the best online systems out there.... even over PC

PC has lost alot of attention to the councols over the years... but there are just some things that the PC just does so much better.

I would have liked a PS3,... have always been a Playstation type... but when I had the cash to upgrade... the 360 by far had the best selection of games... and sense the bulk of games out... are available on both...I figured I would go with it...  turns out.. form most folks that have done both... the 360 games run better on the 360... though I dont know if that will hold up in the third (PS3's 2nd) cycle of games.

so far.... the killer app has not come out for the PS3 to make it a must have,.... MGS4 could be that.... as well as Unreal.... but if rumors are true.. those games are only exclusive for a limited time...

We also have a Wii in the house....  its fun to get my niece and nephew and friends going... gaming together....  but It just isnt enough for me personally to get into when playing with myself...  (alright buttheads... stop chuckling  4.gif  )    just doesnt have that edge that more serous games have....   so for me... it is more of a second system.... fun to have around... but not the   "crazy... stay up all night, hopped up on coke and oreos....till the sun comes up and you realize you have to be to work in 30 minutes...." type of systems the PS3, 360 and PC are.

Your freedom is the most expensive thing you have, even if you arn't the one that paid for it... Use it well.

Wow 9 votes for PS3 yet no ones posted, guess I'll be the first 9.gif.

PS3 is the ultimate games console, seriously. I've never played on a games console this much in my entire life. Its fast, the interface is beautiful, it plays Blu Rays right out of the box, outputs in full HD and is the most powerful of the 3 by far. As for the games, this for me is a non-issue. The PS3 has two 'must-buy' games out at the moment for me; Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man. Motorstorm is just a visual feast, the graphics are insane! And Resistance, I'd even go so far as to say, is the greatest game I have ever played. I've devoted so many hours to this game online - it's fast paced, fun and full of action. Halo what? There is also the Playstation Store which is full of little gems; Calling all Cars and Grip Shift are two amazing games that I've downloaded from the store and have spent many many hours playing (Calling all Cars is really really fun with friends!).

Also, PS3 has not nearly reached it's full potential yet (Unlike another console that has a habit of dyeing...), coming in the next few months are some spectacular games; Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Killzone 2, Haze, LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue (Which is actually going to be free to download) and Heavenly Sword to name just a few. There is also Playstation Home coming very soon, which is a huge virtual 3D network where you can do loads of stuff (Think 'The Sims' but online full of games). Plus, there is Play TV coming in 2008 (Just to Europe though) which turns your PS3 into a freeview recorder, allowing you to watch and record live TV simultaneously in full HD.

I'm a bit of a Sony Fan if you hadn't already guessed 3.gif.

As for the Wii, my brother has one and I admit that when we first got it I spent many an hour playing Wii Sports and Twilight Princess but after a month or so the novelty really wore off. Although, the Wii is still fun with a few friends it just hasn't got any games that really utilise the innovative controls fully or that have great online features.

Anyway, PS3 came out and since then the Wii has literally gathered a layer of dust or two. The poor thing has sat abandoned next to it's sleeker Japanese cousin 9.gif.

Its just too bad that the Wii isn't HD.  At least it has wide screen capabilities so it fills my whole HDTV though.

If the Wii was HD, its price would have been higher, and that would affect its sales.  I bought a HDTV after I got a Wii, but if I did the reverse, I would have gotten a 360/PS3.

This war was supposed to be more about pricing.  If you want more, you got to pay more for it.  The Wii destroyed this berrier with their controller, but it still lacks HD capabilities.

Oh well, thats what I have to say about that.

To put it straight, the wii has taken gaming to a whole new level. Fact is, that remote does stuff I would've never thought; out of Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft. And I still don't have one. Know why? People like it so much I can never find one!

it's all fun and games until a PS3/Xbox360 explodes and burns your house down....then it's hilarious!

srsly, I wouldn't trust a manufacturer of exploding batteries to make something mildly safe.

PS3 can be left on 24/7 without any damage, it's designed that way. As for the 360, well, that's another matter. 3.gif

I personally love the Wii. It's great, got a great variety of games out/coming out.. there's a reason why it's passed the 360 in sales and market share. 3.gif The PS3 is just.. pointless? The Blu-Ray isn't a selling feature at all to those of us without an HD TV. Sony would have done so much better if they had a version without the bluray. The 360.. well.. lets just say I hope you bought the service plan on yours, when you got it. 3.gif

Well, I prefer the Wii due to the playing style with the motion controller. However, there are times that a better graphic processor can be used...so then Id say the Xbox360 comes in second. Of course, why not have both? Its about the same price as the PS3, which cant do everything those two combined can. And yea, the Blu-Ray was a poor marketing decision, although Im sure that was Sony overhead trying to proliferate the market with Blu-Ray players in an attempt to win the new format war. The backfiring part of that is most people are perfectly satisfied with DVDs on their non-HD television. So actually, when I think about it...Ill stick with my laptop for the ultimate gaming experiance 3.gif

I'd say Wii because of the Virtual Console and the fun games. (Although I don't have a Wii, PS3, or a 360 lol)

The Virtual Console is the one thing that convinced me to buy a Wii... I sold my old NES collection years ago and I'm slowly rebuilding my library as well as some new games I never bought.  I'm already up to 17 Virtual Console games, mostly of the NES variety.

Grand Theft Auto isn't a Playstation exclusive title anymore.. 2.gif

Oh, and I finally cracked and bought a 360 the other day. It's very nice.. I need to start working up a game collection on that too though. As fun as it is, NHL 08 just doesn't completely satisfy me.. variety is needed. 3.gif
