De Ja Vu - It's already been forested. I had to do each Parcel alone individually. I did not use the SC4 Terraformer to do this. This is the final product, once the region is completely uploaded, it will be ready to use...

    jacqulina - Thank you...

lilmanjs: Should be ready within the next week!

drjumbajookiba20: The old website has been taken down and the plugins / region has been moved to the skydrive, it will be available to everyone when BHII starts. Also for the overhead signs, I am developing a kit for it so the BH users can conviniently, easily make highway signs. There will be instructions for that.

I will develope a new website for the project aswell. I'm debating on whether or not BH will have its own public forum or if it will remain via MSN.

I think a public forum would be good for this city journal.

Here are some screenshots and a few teaser photos of them. They will be released on the STEX soon so be ready... These photos were taken from the closest zoom level and you can see that they're high defintion under the highest detail setting, so you WILL beable to read them.

so I've been looking through this thread again lately. where did people get the ideas for the city names? my city is named after a gated apartment complex we have here in town that I've always liked the name of.

Newark, I got a twist from the state of New Jersey I guess. I really just made it up although the city actually does exists in California if I recall correctly.

Just a quick statement that I havent forgotten about this CJ, I've just been real enwrapped with RL and plus my Highway Signs...

You seem to know what your doing. -even if the RHW exits don't meet your standards. That is a clever Turnpike you built.

Kid of cats 5 - Why thank you! The real (and only for now) turnpike in Newark exists as a Bypass and its the 101...

shaylan221 - Its GMax and Kurumi's Sign Maker. I basically just copy / paste the images onto boxxes in GMax and export them as high definition models. I am going to have a movie soon showing the entire highway, including all 27 exits featuring nearly TWO HUNDRED custom made Highway Signs, none of them clones. It will be released just before I release a mega sign package.

Hello, N4C! I've been lurking and I'm impressed as usual. Just one question: call me ignorant, but where did you get those exit/on ramps? Is that part of the RH?

By the way, I'm pleased to see that Linaton hasn't been over-developed. I'd say it still has its small-town charm :-)

Oh, wow, good accomplishment in making the signs readable, this was really long overdue. Very good update, the somehow 'clean' looks of the roads make it even more appealing, as I understand what you are aiming for. It's not always about the funky-action CJs, but also about these that showcase the currenjt development, even small to the audience, but important for the CJ itself and as a whole.

    Looking forward to more,

    lucky7

Sorry for the severe delays guys. I'm not quite done with this yet - but I'm going to have to make some changes to make this a bit more self sustaining

-- Reactivated my photobucket account so the images are back

    -- Added a new video

Bet you thought I forgot about this didn't ya...

Well I haven't and today I present a new video update for Highway 4 featuring over 140 new highway signs which WILL be released to Simtropolis next week. I'm still bogged down right now with RL but I'm working on a self sustaining method to re-open this city journal.

    PART 1

    PART 2

Wow! Amazing stuff... I just spent the last 18 minutes watching your videos and I would say it's a pinnacle achievement in CJ entertainment and roadgeekery. I recall Haljackey made some videos like this a while back, but he didn't include the signs and such. The signs are amazing and all make sense. I like how Rte.4 has a local/express setup in several places and I loved the sunken highway walls and special gantries in downtown Newark.

    Great work!

dfnva - Awsome, thank you very much. Im glad to see your CJ is still going. I havent dropped by in a long time but you had some pretty interesting RHW stuff too. The sunken highway walls were a tad bit of a pain and I wish I had made a longer stretch but whats there should be sufficient.  I'm going to build another video like that for the 101 Turnpike sometime in the future.

I am working on a way to reopen this CJ in a self sustaining method. This time I'm probably going to do away with the points system and add a development size / time based system. I have two ideas currently

Idea 1. Run the City Journal and its Region / Plugin files from a remote server and supply everyone with the program and shortcut necessary to perform this... The remote server could even be on Windows Live Sky Drive and you would not be forced to perform any download and uploading on your own as the game will perform it as if the region were on your harddrive.

Idea 2. Download the plugins/region from Sky Drive and perform your own updates and contributions by downloading and uploading the Parcels individually.

I'm trying to perfect idea 1 and then I will provide a demonstation of how its done.
