Welcome!

A village that is cut off from the rest of the world is soon to be found out...
But wait...what IS the village?

Here's our Prologue...
World leaders were getting very tense, and were haveing many conflicts. Earth was running out of resources, and people were getting desperate. One man, named James B. Abansadela, decided that  there was going to be a major war sooner or later.

He grouped up with his pals, and all of them were discussing a plan to creat a small town that would inhabit about 500 people, completley isolated from the rest of the world. The President of the United States approved the plan, and over 300 villages were being built a day after his approval. But...a horrible war started. Many small village were invaded, and others were in panic. But one village...yes, one village, kept peace and order, even through the toughest of times.

And here's where our story begins. (for real.)

It was a beautiful morning, and I, Artman, am taking a little tour throughout the town. I'll be showing you many plac---
atomicbombexplosionru8.jpg
BOOM!!!
"The light! It burns!!!"
diffuseglowfk9.jpg
The powerful light makes me fall backwards, in awe of the brightness. So did other people on the same street I was. Many screamed. But I knew we were lucky. The nuclear bomb exploded about a 100 miles away. A bit closer and we would be toast (litarlly)
That is an almost everyday event in this village. All of the 506 people that live here say it's normal to see about 2 - 3 bomb explosions a day.

I interviewed a man walking to work about the bombs.
"You think this is abnormal? Tell you what, buddy. An abnormal day is NOT seeing a bomb explosion," he said.

As I was saying before the bright explosion, I am going to show you around town.
Here is City Hall, the place where Mayor Abansadela (you remember him, right?) works.
Across the street is City Hall Diner. It's on the edge of the pic. That is where I am writing all this down for you to read.
picture2ts6.jpg

Here is the town's only gas station. It was packed with enough gasoline to serve for 5 years. You might say, "That's not alot!" But think about it. It's such a small town, you basically don't need a vehicle. (Unless you are going tip-of-town to another tip-of-town)
Notice the roundabout. That once connected this village to the freeway. It was the only way for construction crews, tanks of gasoline, food trucks, and bus loads of people would go through. Now it was demolished, and trees were grown to hide the space left from the road.
picture8pu8.jpg

Here's a zoomed out view of the round-about. Next to it is an old-run down bulding once called the Sign-Up Center. This is where the people came through to verify that THEY were going to inhabit this town, and that they should not EVER leave until permission granted by leader James Abansadela.
picture3uw4.jpg
Here's the town's only food supply. Don't think that apples and some lettuce is the only thing that the people eat! There's a secret that is not been told to the townspeople that under this part of land is a HUGE storage room with all the food anyone could want. Burgers, pizza, bread...you name it. It's all there.
picture7zy9.jpg
Here's a lovely photo of the town's water stupply, or, "Pondy Lake". I just had to take a photo of it.
picture5xn3.jpg

Pretty interesting, huh? There are many secrets in this town to behold. Even I don't know some of them. I will continue writing letters to you all about my trip here. I will try to get you as much information as possible. I will interview the mayor himself, and other people on the streets. I will write down some dangerous situations that I encounter, if I do have some in the future. I haven't even showed some other parts of the town yet. Right now I need some rest. An old granny named Nana has taken me in for some cookies and milk, and allowed me to take the room in her basement for the night. I will soon be writing more letters, but now I need my rest. 19.gif You may send me letters in reply, if you like. I will be reading them in the morning.23.gif

This is a cool idea for an SF CJ. I like the look of that abandoned building by the roundabout, btw. Cool in a creepy sort of way.

That picture right after the explosion is just so mesmerizing...

Great journal, I wa a little skeptical at first (the prologue seemed a little rushed), but as I read on, I became very interested.

Wonderful start! I can't wait to see what happens.

Lol, this CJ is nice. Kinda like mine which is also set in the near future where hostilities are increasing. :] What image editing program do you use? Love the editing effect on the nuke.

Here is a message to all your replies-

ManMan99: Thank you very much, Manman.

Atomic Village: Thanks! More Updates are defintally on the way.

mencc1701: Yes, the building is kinda creepy. One thing I should tell you is that I notice many kids like to go there and play there after school. (that is why a couple lights were on in the pic). However, all important documents and papers have been transfered to the city hall, so there is no danger of the children destroying the documents.

    Jacqulina: Thank you very much!

UltraGLR XL: Thank you, GLR. Yes, I see now that I have rushed the prologue a bit, but hey, we learn from our mistakes! I'll keep you in mind when writing my next update.

Dralin321: Thank you! Yes, updates are right around the corner!

    penguin007: Thanks, penguin!

John94538: Don't you have good prediction skills? I'll give more info on my next update.

GMT: There will be lots of fighting and explosions in the next update--not so sure, but we'll see.

Xperian: Thanks for the comment! I use PhotoImpact 8, a easier version but not so advance than Adobe Photoshop.

Yoshiisland: Thank you very much! People like you help me to move on a bit quicker and to hurry up on the next update!

    AceofSpades: Thank you!

Thank you oh so very much for the comments. They keep me moving along (I know I only posted one update-but I planned to give another update in 2 days--but now it seems I want to update now21.gif)

Right now I am in City Hall Diner ordering a Deluxe cheeseburger--or maybe by the time you read this I'll be working on my next update2.gif.

I'm EXTREMEMLY sorry I wasn't able to update sooner.

But no worries, this is my second update.

Welcome back. This is my 2nd letter to you all (excluding the one I sent you for replies.) Currently, I am in an urgent situation. Mayor Abansadela has raised the level of urgency to code orange (for more details see the graph below). Apparently someone has spotted a military attack helicopter that was flying very close to the village. However, it was very early in the morning, so it is unconfirmed, and it is also unlikely that the pilot did see the village. No one, of course, had their lights on, because it was mandatory to turn off your lights after 10 P.M. People who violated this rule had their electricity cut for 3 days. Fortunately, hardly anyone broke this rule.
Here is the graph on the level of codes.

    codestuffvg4.jpg

Oh, and here’s the snapshot on the flying object, most likely a helicopter. The person who had this camera had it a bit smudge, so you can’t quite see it correctly.

    pic6vd7.jpg

That is just one little part of the urgancy that has befalled this village. Take a look at these snapshots taken by someone fishing in Pondy Lake: (note: it seems to have rained during these pictures, so some things are unidentifiable)

    pic1pa1.jpg

A pic of the Naval ship:

    pic2oy4.jpg

    Some more stuff:

    pic3ko5.jpg

The most disturbing image of all: a nuclear missle being shot into the sky to its unlucky enemies:

    pic4go3.jpg

Actually, early morning, I should tell you that we heard many sirens going off at the distance. I woke up, and, unsurprised, many other people got up to see the commotion. Apparently, as I learned later, it was the siren to unleash the nuclear missles in the air to destroy the enemies.

I was able to grab the one shot with my camera; before & after:

    BEFORE:

    picbefore5butafter4yq7.jpg

     After:

    pic5xh8.jpg

If you look to the far left of the picture, you can see some apartment buildings. These structures are what houses the soldiers.

Obviously we do not know wether this is the enemy or this is the United States. It is, most likely, the U.S., but one can never be to sure these days. The worst part is that this army base is situated about 1/2 mile away from the village. This is kinda bad if you ask the villagers, because the army could stumble upon it. This army base was just constructed not too long ago, in fact it was just completed at the same time I sent you guys my first letter.

Oh my, I forgot! I never had the chance to finish the tour around the village. You must be dying to know how it is! Don’t worry about that. The next letter I will send you guys will have everything about the village. I will interview the mayor himself, though, it is a bit of a tough cookie to get through the security…

I like this CJ but I am confused. So the army does NOT know the village exists.... right ? Sorry but I'm kind of slow sometimes. Anyways, I like the story so far and looking forward to more.

Thank you so much, people! Sad to say, I actually requested this CJ to be closed because I hadn't got any comments in a long time (about a week) so I though, "This is it, this is the end." I thought my CJ was a failure, but I guess not! I'll be working on the next update very soon!

    Replies:

Xperian: Thank you. Actually, the rain was inspired by your CJ (and a couple others, too)

    Penguin007: Maybe, maybe not XD

Jacqulina: Thank you for stopping by!

Ryusuke516: Well, maybe you mean the village is more than just a village in terms of organization and knowledge? 42.gif The army base isn't part of the village, if that's what you mean...thanks for the comment, though!

Cowboy[Texas]: It's ok if your slow. Heck, I'm slow too! The army doesn't know the village exists. Thanks for commenting! EDIT: I know why your comfused. There was an error in my typing in Update 2. Fixed it! It was the sentence about the pilot seeing the village. Really, the pilot didn't see the village. Hope that clears things up for you!

To all: Thank you so much. The next update will be out shortly. (let's say in 5 hours after this post)

This is a really nice idea for a story. It's well written and the pics are great. I hope the village has a good healthcare system, with all the fallout of those bombs that explode every day. I'd hate to see everybody get sick.
