Thanks for the review, Twiggy! I'll keep your suggestions in mind in the future, though I think it may be a while before my next update, due to my schedule being packed right now. -

Was browsing around with StumbleUpon, and I came across this page. It's in Russian, for some odd reason, but the pictures are all of Toronto, many taken from what looks to be an apartment near the intersection of Gerrard and Jarvis. They're amazing pics, and I thought a few people here would appreciate them. I'll post one as a sample, then the link: Rest of the pictures here.

^ I don't remember that bit, but during the scene where they show "John"'s notebook to the nurse, there's a page which has a number of drawings of past Doctors.

Where Country/region do these photos belong to?
mencc1701 replied to andersalinas's topic in Forum Games
This thread might need to go into the forum games subforum in off-topic, it's where all the "How well do you know...?" threads were moved recently. That's up to a mod, though. -
^ Hehe, I didn't even notice that one... Laurier was our first French-Canadian Prime Minister, though, perhaps that's what he meant.

I'd say it's about a tie. Hot Fuzz is funnier, overall, but SotD has better characters and such. Though, of course, nothing in either movie quite compares to the gunfight scene with Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson in the Spaced episode "Gone".

Originally posted by: GreekMan The US embassy is huge! They fortifed it. what do you think?quote> I, and a number of my friends, refer to it as the Fortress, and we always joke that there are several snipers trained on us whenever we walk by. I actually really dislike the embassy, since it's very out of place in it's neighborhood, the Byward Market, just across the Rideau Canal from downtown. It's a very historic area of town, and so the embassy sticks out like a sore thumb.

I'm back in Ottawa as-of today, and after I was on campus buying a bus pass, I decided to take a walk around downtown and take some pictures, so... here they are! This is my walk, in order... down Albert St. to Lyon St., and then back up Wellington St. to the Rideau Canal. My school, and it's newest building, Desmarie... a ten story, multidisciplinary building which should act as the de facto northern gate to our downtown campus. Standing over the Rideau Canal and looking towards the east side of downtown, across Confederation Park. (Sorry for the washed-outness, the sun was starting to go down) Looking north from about the same spot, towards Chateau Laurie, the Westin hotel and the Rideau Centre (major downtown mall and Transitway station). The historic First Baptist Church (built 1877), at the corner of Elgin and Laurier, is dwarfed by the 94 metre tower Place Bell, built in 1971. Spot the transit problem! Rush hour buses crowd Albert St. Looking west down Albert. The West Memorial Building (There is a mirrored identical building on the other side) and the Memorial Arch. Close up of English text on arch. The Supreme Court of Canada, on Wellington St. The top of downtown's tallest building, Place de Ville building C, at 112 metres. Buildings fronting Wellington St. The Center Block of Canadian Parliament, which dominates Wellington St. The East Block of Parliament, with the Chateau Laurier and the Rideau Centre in the background. And finally, the beginning of the Rideau Canal, which marks the eastern edge of downtown. If you have any questions about anything I posted, feel free to ask!

Just found this thread, glad there are other BSG fans here! Though I have to point out that the thread subtitle says that "Season 5" begins next January... it's season 4.

That looks like a 400 series highway, maybe the 416. So I'll guess Ontario, Canada.

Ha! I'll believe that when I see it. Oh, and @ cammo2003 - I was under the impression that BC Ferries is, in fact, the second largest ferry system in the world... not sure who's right, there. -
