Great looking map. The title of the Journal really reflects the content!

    Update!

No mosaics yet, hopefully there'll be some in a week or so...I'm getting burned out from developing the seaside plain, so I'm going to begin foresting the mountains then continue on the new city to the east (Wilhelm) and a few others below it (Kaiser and neighbors.) A large park reserve is expected to be placed in the southeast corner, with several farms surrounding it. I have a plan for an airport near the southwest area of the region, out on the water on a man-made island. I could possibly build a mountain city and connect it by airport or a really long road. But I got sick of Baysound (the new city down south from last week's update.) And it was pretty much done so all I have left really is the eastern farms and suburbs and it'll be done!

Now, the remaining problem is the mosaics. I've got a plan as I can only get so many mosaics out of a city. The downtowns, however, have long loading times so they may take several attempts. I want to get the region done as quickly and easily as possible. The mosaics come once it is done, so expect some scrolling soon.

    Anyway, here are the pics:

    calioshire42708tz8.jpg

    calioshiretraffic42708gt7.jpg

And, in case you recognize the colors, here is a little hint for you all (no, not the real logo.)

    sl1kb7.jpg

If you don't recognize the colors, don't worry. It doesn't matter right now.

    Enjoy!

Actually one of the best region shots I have seen in a while in any CJ. I look forward to close-ups.

Woooott!! That region is stunning, especially that side with the forest.

And you sure build fast! It always takes me ages to just build one small tile and you add farmlands in a snap =P

Anyway, great stuff you have here 2.gif

    Update!

    calioshire6808ue6.jpg

I never thought a medium tile could take so long...but it's really worth the wait, you'll see...it's called Burgundy Town and is designed to be as realistic as possible while still being fully functional.

    Traffic view:

    calioshiretransit6808qq2.jpg

Current population: 2.2 million, final population expected around 2.5-2.7 million with about 2.4 million commercial offices and .5 million factories.

Mosaic next time, I promise! I have one ready but Photoshop crapped up. I know, I want to post another mosaic really badly but I need to take them first!

Oh, and by the way, there might not be any updates from June 12-June 24 just so you know. I am so excited to show you all my hard work...and Candyland's 1-year anniversary is coming up, far beating Crossrivers which was about 3 months and Verysomnambulate which lasted like 1 month, so I'll have a really special update for that day!

Expect a mosaic next week, but if there isn't one, I am very sorry, there will be a load of  them soon. It's not like you guys will lose mana points or anything, but I'll get to them soon.

    So, checklist:

    -Burgundy Town: done by tonight

-Kaiser: In a few days (only farms)

-Vermillion Falls: Probably gonna take a while, guys, it's almost all forests, waterfalls, and ploppable water

-East/westmedium tiles: Meadow Falls and Fieldview

-Northernmost city: this will be northernmost since I don't want a mountain city, I'll forest instead. About an hour to do this section at most

-Airport in Kalmir: Probably not at this point, I;m trying to get this done fast so I can post the mosaics.

So, all together, maybe 2 weeks or something...almost there!

    Enjoy!

Finally! You know what this means-a mosaic update! And it's practically perfect, you can hardly see the grid, no abandonment, some traffic now, and trees for once!

Kiwi n Grapes: Lol (or LIQ or whatever), sure it was. J/k I know it was. Yeah, that's usually my max on a medium, I can get higher but it doesn't look pretty.

jacky: Yep, thanks! I'm thinking a PF kind of thing, just more local to me, like a Appalachian or High Plains version.

Schulmanator: It's fun to work with, that's for sure...I'm able to do a lot with it, from mountains to the prairies to the oceans white with foam! Thanks.

cjman: Thanks! I didn't know my eyes could get a sugar rush...now I know. 3.gif

    Godzillaman:

    I can't get no satisfaction

    I can't get no satisfaction

'cause i try and i try and i try and i try

    I can't get no, i can't get no satisfaction

Be like the Rolling stones! Or Calioshire hijacks you too! 9.gif

Un1: Well, they're totally different, but I guess Rowenta=Ottawa and Kensington=Toronto, though Kensington has a beefed-up skyline that's more like Chicago.

Btw, I've always wondered why are residents of Canada Canadians, not Canadans? And why isn't it called Canadia? Something to think about.

KAG: Hahaha! Weren't there any green glass towers? Ahh, some Kensington! I'm gonna write to their city council...

NMUspidey: I've got it now! Thank you, haha, I try my best.

KAG: I don't know, I just threw it together for fun, it doesn't mean anything, just to trick your mind...you're getting sleepy...Thanks!

Godzillaman: Ooh, thanks! I've got some closeups now, so we're all set.

jacky: Thanks! It's a bit flat, but it's nice for farming.

lucky7: Thanks! Yep it's pretty much done, I hardly ever finish a region, but this time I'm determined to get this one done. 3.gif

CarmineHilton: Thanks! I'll get some waterfall/forest mosaics maybe. Do I really build that fast? Haha, I guess I do, but I dont pay attention to detail too well...that's your strong point, Movia is amazing!

jacky: Thank you! I can't wait to have it finished...so close! 9.gif

Godzillaman: Haha, Sprawlmart! Just for you I'll plop a "Spwarlmart" in Kaiser. 3.gif

All right! It feels so good to post a mosaic!

    Business Park

After spending a few weeks on and off working on Burgundy Town I finally finished it and came out with virtually no flaws! Enjoy this one, I have one similar to this that I'll post soon.

Nice! Everything looks good except one thing...or three: The bottom, right on the curving avenue there are three random green boxes. They look ugly.3.gif

    The rest is good.2.gif

Why have I never been to this CJ!? This is fantastic work! Did you get most of th CC off of the STEX?

Nice use of bixels residentials! Looks very... sprawly... I don't know the word for it...

Where are the police stations? That mall must give off tons of crime?

    Keep up the fantastic work.

Well, my post just got deleted after loads of work, so here's a  simplified version of the update.

    Region Census-Calioshire

Here's the full view without names:

    Traffic:

If anyone wants full versions of these just say so and I will post them.

Finally, the full version with names and boundaries:

I realize it's kind of hard to see, I'll get a bigger sized one posted soon.
