I use Road Top Mass transit along with the NAM. The only thing I use in all my cities are buses because if you can get your sims to use them properly they don't count in road congestion whereas overcrowded rail (or any other type of MT) slow down commute by a lot

actually overcrowded RTMT bus stops do hurt your commute because they create congestion directly on the roads. it still is no where near as bad as an overcrowded train station or rail line.

I built my largest city on the original SimCity 4 after I saw this posting it gave me some motivation to use some of the new stuff that came with the Rush Hour package i purchased a last year.

My Region has a little over 14 million...im workin a new region where im going to try to figure out how to use all those cool terrain features i seen on the site...I could sure use a good turtorial..

My largest city on a large tile set is  Lavidiston...I broke 3 million today and i was very content..
All it took was replaceing all my streets and roads with oneways..i wish i would have knew sooner,,, I could have saved a lot of time...

It's important to me for the region and cities therein to be fairly realistic. No offense to drevilshenchman, because that's an impressively huge region and a huge city, but it all looks kinda the same. I prefer having a distict downtown area (mine's along a river) but with cities that meld into one another so you can barely tell where one starts and one ends, as opposed to having a poor-people city, and a commercial city, and a skyscraper city next to a farm city. I'll try to get some pics.

My largest region ,Tirine, (of course I deleted it recently) had over 3 million, which had a city, Kajaanj, that had about 500,000 people in it. (keep in mind it had a coast and mountains) Also, almost every other city had over 200,000.

Chocolate_City, those are pretty impressive populations, I must say.

my region is made up for 20 large cities and the largest city has a population of about 904,000. and my region population size is 4.67 million or so. i can never got above the 900,000 population mark, before residential demands begins to fall. i mean i have great mass transit, one of my bus stops was at like 3600% usage. and i have entire cities of IHT/IM. oh well.

mine region called Karnadas, had a population of about 60 million people. The largest city had 6,5 million people (large tile). The biggest city on a medium tile had 1,7 million people, and on a small tile it has something about 0,5 million people.
