Well, its been abit slow this past month since I last updated, i've been having trouble terraforming without the game crashing... still no sight of what causing it but i'm hobbling along anyway, i'm not gonna quit so no need to worry about that

Anyway,  that said, if I can avoid the crashing, i'll be updating a little more frequently (hopefully) as I build some areas i'd planned out previously last year (Slavyat, Komsalomsk and the first settlement on Sakhalin island).

For now, i'm focussing on building some Oil fields on Sakhalin Island and working my way up from that. To cope with the Oil disillation and shipping, i've built a small docks and a pre-fab town to the North Eastern corner of Sakhaliya and later on (either later tonight or tomorrow) i'll get round to laying out some Oil Derricks, piplines, workers homes etc... ready for an update... probably tomorrow or Monday, depends how much crashing is done

Heres a new region map... Vastava and Primorsky Docks are two of the new places i'm busy constructing, well, i've pretty much finished them-

UPDATE 5.0 - Black Gold

Welcome back to a groundbreaking new update my Comrades! Finally this month we laid the groundwork for our new Settlements on Sakhalin Island, an Island rich in Oil on land and in its surrounding waters. Untill now, it has only been home to a handful of self suffient farmers and ancient Shintoist Temples, people and things that have been there since it was ruled by Japan before the Great Patriotic war. They have been pretty much left in peace by our benevolent Premier Buriya, and theres no real harm in leaving them in peace... untill we discover theres oil or ore underneath their 2000 year old Temples, then they've got to be torn down!

... not really... Premier Buriya has instructed the Oil engineers to leave the temples and Farmers well alone... last thing we want to do is upset a bunch of Holy Men and Pacifists.

This Ancient Shinto Temple overlooks the glorious workers town of Potemkin, yet its miles away from the harsh reality of life in the Peoples Republic. The aura surrounding this structure is almost as overwhelming as the Church of the Mountain Mist in Byernosk 2-

Asides from the natives, the town of Potemkin is primarily home to Dock and Oil workers. Potemkin Docks, unlike Radonnanova, is mainly for the shipping and storeage of Crude Oil, ready for export to other countries; we like to keep our ties with other Socialist nations and IPON states close (although the Emirate of Khaled does most of IPON oil production), some of our exports go North Korea as to aid the development, we even send some to Cuba when we have a competent enough Captain to pilot a Tanker half way around the world. The building between the two distillation things in this picture is the Port Authority building... they usually deal with all the exports and stuff, nothing special-

People usually get from the mainland via the Ferry that comes twice daily. Its not brilliant for Truck exports, but plans to build a bridge to Sakhalin have been accepted, this will be done at the shortest point in the Slavyat Krai just south of Sakhalinsk-

There is another Docks on the mainland as well. This docks is home to the Primorsky Refinery, mainly brewing up our domestic use Fuel for Cars, Heating, Bicycles, Tu-95 Bear's, etc... the usual stuff.

You probably notice the Frigate in the Dry Dock... Primorsky is a stop off point for the single Frigate code-named 'Igor', usually seen Patrolling the Sakhalin Straight for 'enemy' Vessel's. It Patrols from Primorsky Docks to Radonnanova and then back again, usually twice a day, today was a treat since the ship rarely
