Hey everyone. this website has roped me back into sim city 4 and i thank everyone for there help and inspiration. ANYWHO, im going to reinstall the entire sim city 4 delux edition game and i really need to save all of the cities that make up the master city in my region (Rogun - pop. 1.1 million). So i would like to know how one does this. I know when you uninstall the game it asks you if you want to save the cities and i always pick yes but what do i do from there once the game is reinstalled and brand new? I'm sure someone knows... Thank you everyone!!!

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8387/kimberlydl5.jpg ^^ Copy and paste into address bar and then press enter. This is the downtown section of Kimberly. Population 78,991. I know it's not the most complex section of a skyscraper district but I think it is in proportion to the rest of my city. Slightly modeled after Canary Wharf in London. (Canals, One Canada Square) What do you think?

If you could do anything to one city, what would you do?

In my hometown (Potsdam NY Pop. 10,000 Upstate New York) i would build a small series of skyscrapers in this little craphole section of downtown . This is the only crappy part of the downtown and i would have the skyscrapers be only 2-350ft tall. This would keep them in proportion to the rest of the downtown but really revitalize the downtown section. It's great too because this section is right on the water and at night it would look spectacular. Actually, it would be kinda like a scaled down version of Canary Wharf in London. And then a little bit denser apartment buildings in the surrounding areas to boost up the pop to maybe 16-18 thousand. I think it would be great and really put Potsdam on the map. But of course this will not likely happen in my lifetime but i would like to see the tallest building in Upstate NY be in Potsdam in my lifetime. It's really the only place you could put it, we have the two most respected colleges in area and the largest downtown already in many ways. -
I personally choose San Francisco. Sprawl is a major problem in LA and San Francisco just feels like a better place. In terms of skyline, LA has larger, taller buildings but there farther apart and the skyline isnt really filled in. San Francisco's skyline is more dense and kinda gives a more "big city look".

Really, really good work. Looking forward to more. -
AWESOME! Very great start. Looks a lot like Dubai. The tutorial on the peninsula and seawall helped me get out of the crapper trying to do that in my city.

I don't think it is a replica of Dubai City, but still very cool. Keep up the good work.

Looking great. I'm sure there are some modds you could get for the city though.
