It's been quite a while since I've visited here, but I still like what I see. The region views and landscape pics are the most spectacular to me, and the snow shots from Christmas look nice as well! I'm glad you turned this CJ into multiple CJs in one because you sound like somebody like me who gets tired of the same city. I look forward to more!

Another Update! 9.gif

Your city is amazingly green and beautiful! I am guessing Canada doesn't have water restrictions like down here in OZ? 3.gif

I suggest making a tourist brochure for Canada using some of those pictures, nobody will ever know the difference 2.gif

Nice selection of houses in Whitefish Bay. But then again, when have you ever created a bland suburb? 3.gif The trails and the numerous recreational facilities were layed out very well. Nothing looks out of place, either, so that's good.

Holt Renfrew? In small town Alberta? I think not!quote>

Aw! The little rural farmer folks need their Gucci and Armani too! Just because you're slaughtering cattle doesn't mean you can't look good while you're doing it. 9.gif

Alex,

Great update once again! I swear your pictures are more interesting each time I visit your city journal! 4.gif The thing I like best is how realistic you have a few of the neighborhoods considering the fact that they don't have trees all over the place like a lot of city journals do. Random scatterings of trees here and there actually looks pretty good and fits in well with the other uses of custom content you have. I like that water mod as well! I wouldn't want myself or my dog to fall in that strangely colored water, though. 3.gif

See you later!

    rhwmosaic-3.jpgrhwmosaic-4.jpg

You guessed it! The Trans Canada Highway! I think in Ontario it would Hwy 17 at this point. Ah well, we'll see when I get around to showing off a region transportation map. 2.gif You can see all those power lines buzzing around.. they come from a coal plant just up the road.. we may see that in the next Whitefish update.

    river1.jpg

Now sue me. I forgot I took a picture of almost this exact location in the last update. So here it is again, slightly shifted down and to the right. Enjoy! 3.gif

    farms1.jpg

Here's something new for you though. Some farmland! *shock*

Well, that update kinda sucked, eh? I'll make it up next time!

Nice farms!  The mosaic is crooked though.  I like the windy highway.  I'm going to steal it....22.gif

Whitefishian?  Why not call someone from there a "White fish" 3.gif

Nice update!  But the curves on TCH-17 are a bit too sharp (not to mention the small bits of two-lane road in there... you seem to be too lazy to fix those 3.gif)

    Oh and once again Edmonton_stinks9.gif

Great work with the rural highway! I would fix the mosiac. It is kind of out of place.

The mosaic looks great. But it is mis-aligned, so I'll dock you down a couple points for that. 3.gif

    3 pictures? You cheapskate...

They're good ones, though. Good RHW work on the Trans Canada. I think it's 17 in northern Ontario and 7 in the south, though I've never driven through much of Ontario. My experience pretty much limited to the Toronto-Ottawa corridor.

Nice job once again beebs! Awesome mosaic too!

-One thing I noticed though (I always seem to see something, eh?): You have texture mis-alignments on the southbound RHW near the two last curves. Just thought I should point that out!

    Best,

Update time! Apologies for the long wait, real life was catching up with me.

    newdevelopment1.jpg

New little subdivision going up on the southern edge of Red River.

    newdevelopment2.jpg

Pretty soon that little farm will have to go to make way for more houses. 2.gif

    newdevelopment3.jpg

    Houses, houses, tralala.

    newdevelopment4.jpg

The new school's had to expand to accommodate all the little kiddies storming in. The town may end up having to build a third elementary soon too!

    horizontalmosaic-small.jpg

Here's my little experiment: a horizontal mosaic. Let me know how you like it! (click on the picture for a fullsize image)

pilotdaryl: It looks weird in city view, yes.. but in the region view, whoo.. it looks faantastic! 9.gif

bbfan02: I don't get it.. whats wrong with the mosaic? Where! 3.gif

ky72x: GAH! Where! Am I blind?! 3.gif Thanks though. 3.gif

    edmonton_stinks: Thanks! 4.gif

    GreekMan: Thank you!

    jacqulina: Thanks, jacky!

toki.s: Thanks, toki! Heh, I haven't a clue of what Nova Scotia looks like, myself. 3.gif

    haljackey: Quite aware!

    cheese91: LOL thanks, HungryHungry.

    Brad-MacD: Thanks, brad! 9.gif

Looking good there!  Look at that irony... since we won against Edmonton they had three straight losses... 3.gif while we basked in with three straight wins.
