The buildings were well chosen in the downtown. Though, I've got to say the skyline looked much larger from region view. It must be the mix of mid rises from a distance!

Welcome to Page 26.

EDIT: This was my 2626th post as well!  Coincidence, huh?

Woodhale is off to a great start Mike.  Everett's downtown really shows how good you are with blending Maxis buildings with CC.  Then again, Coram-Medford was the same, now that I think of it, heh! 3.gif The map looks excellent.  It's nice to have one since we can all kinda get a better perspective on where everything is, instead of a hit-and-miss deal where we are all trying to guess their locations.  You really emphasize mass transit in your cites, huh?  Well it makes it more realistic, and you're not plagued with massive traffic accidents or bottlenecks on freeways (or at least not as often). 4.gif Heritage Square is really the cherry on top.  Instead of a mostly griddy transportation layout, you have a very fluid, realistic and beautiful system of roads and streets.  Keep it up! 44.gif

Damn Mike, that new city that you've started looks amazing! I'm really liking the GLR system you've set up in the downtown! (You've even got heaps trams running along those lines which is something I failed to do many times, my sims don't like GLR!!!) and by the looks of that last image you've got a nice subway system going too! I actually like how you used a fair amount of Maxis buildings too because you only used the best ones that fit into your custom content. The outer areas really green, that's a good thing, a good park system!

I think this is my first post in your CJ, I may have to stop in more often!

What building is Lundquist square? It looks like a nice Downtown Filler.

Nice downtown. Doesn't look like ONE maxis building is repeated.

Amazing work mike! You have planned the town, a nice layout and the CJ is well presented. Key buildings are pictured and information is given.

I haven't seen a better CJ on any Sim City site!

Although the sidewalks look a bit bare, I like how all the textures match together. It looks very, very nice like that. The featured buildings were all good, and your choices were spot-on. I have to ask what building was used for the Lundquist Center, because it looks cool! Just what I need, another downtown filler. Keep the great work coming Mike!

    Heritage Sq. Traffic/Replies

    Welcome back to Everett, Woodhale.

    HeritageTraffic.gif

Here's a webcam of the current traffic in Heritage Square, Downtown Everett.

    Replies

Insane Child of Bodom - Quite a few, 3,200 to say the least. Thanks for the comment!

sEAhAwk fAn121 - Haha, we'll work on that in the Airport Update. Thanks!

Godzillaman - Thanks, glad you can make a realistic connection to Everett. That blue one isn't the tallest in the city, I'm pretty sure it is one of the B.A.Ts. Thanks for the comment!

suppakilla - Thanks!! I'm glad you noticed that! 9.gif That's what I was trying to achieve.

suplado! - Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it!

    penguin007 - Thanks!

DragonAnime - Thanks, and yeah sometimes region view can play tricks on your eyes. Thanks for commenting!

The Almighty Cheese Grater - Thanks!! Glad I could be an inspiration to your work! 9.gif

wallasey - Thank you!! Hope to see you soon here!

    jacqulina - Thanks Jacky!

RON-E - Thanks, glad you like the region shot, hope to see you soon here! 9.gif

DarkEldar - Thanks!! Glad you're enjoying!

ky72x - Thanks for the long and detailed comment! 9.gif I'm glad you're noticing some of the aspects of this city journal; with the mass transit and the strive for realism. Thank you so much for commenting and looking at every update! 4.gif

C.ockatoo-210893 - Wow, thanks!! I'm glad you like it, and yes I strive for realism with keeping a variated downtown. I do alot of bulldozing buildings that repeat, and soon I have a nice variety of buildings in one central location. Thanks for commenting, hope to see you around soon! 4.gif

Godzillaman - Lundquist Square is 40 & 50 Bank Street by Ill Tonkso. I have to agree its a great building and is suitable for any downtown.  Thanks for your interest!!

    penguin007 - Thanks!

crazyarchitect - Thank you so much, glad you like it!

sEAhAwk fAn121 - Thanks! 4.gif Glad you like it!

politicman - Haha, nice connection there, never really thought of that. Thanks! 4.gif

sixers33  - On any site?! Wow, thanks for that high comment! 4.gif I can think of so many other city journals better than this one... like Anduin Valley or Jeronij's city journals. 3.gif Glad you like it! 4.gif

Dsrwhat316 - Thanks, glad you like the GLR!!

zelgadis - Thanks, glad you're enjoying the GLR too. Glad I implemented that into the downtown. 4.gif

    lilbrownsuga5 - Thank you Jordi!! 4.gif

ky72x - Right after you said that comment on the sidewalks, I did look back and I have to agree with you. I might have to find a mod that can put more stuff out there. Thanks for that suggestion!! Thank you so much for your comment, and for your query regarding Lundquist Square, scroll up to the Red Godzillaman reply.

Thanks again to everyone's comments, they are really really really really really appreciated! 9.gif
