    Downtown... So Far!

Here is a little update of how downtown looks so far. I played with the brightness and contrast on these pictures, so hopefully you like them! 9.gif

This area along the beach in Coram is under construction. City planners are going to build luxury highrises along the beach, instead of these small tenements.

Here is City Hall Park. A nice collection of executive buildings for the mayor and his advisors!

Here is a little subway stat. As you've probably noticed, the amount of cars on the roadway seems smaller than normal. That's because commuters would rather use the subway. All my subway stations have high usage, I think my highest is just a little over 10,000.

    Replies To Your Comments!

Godzillaman - It is. This is so I can work more swifter, yet have a huge city. Thanks for the comment!

topcliff - Thanks, although this isn't really a tropical city. 3.gif Crime is higher in Coram then I expected it to be, but hey, I need to fund my police stations! 9.gif

    ilikehotdogsalot - Thanks!

Amerikaner - Thanks, glad you like the port and the trees. And yes it is a bunch of subway stations. 3.gif Thanks! 4.gif

    Tommy_Vercetti3 - Thanks! 4.gif

frogface - Yes, it's the contrasting! 3.gif Thanks for the comment!

    ky72x - Thanks, hope I see you soon! 4.gif

    sEAhAwk fAn121 - Haha, thanks! 4.gif

    jacqulina - Thanks Jacky! 4.gif

Talk about a downtown! Look at all those NDEX skyscrapers! Nice Maxis buildings there, too. And the subway, wow over 7000 commuters, man it must be packed down at the stations! Beautiful work, keep it up.

    Medford, A Sister City

    Welcome back to Coram/Medford! 9.gif

    Coram-Medford-Jun.18111187327134-1.jpg

Coram's sister city, Medford, is really seeing some growth. Rapid growth. Medford is home to a busy and expansive port area, that takes up a lot of the Chipnall Bay. With industry thriving, skyscrapers appear. Medford is connected to Coram by two tunnels, ferries, and one bridge (in the lower bay).

    Coram-Medford-May.15111187326824.jpg

    Coram-Medford-May.18111187326863.jpg

    There's downtown Medford! 9.gif

Here's an example of how Coram and Medford are connected, by traffic underneath the Coram Tunnel!

    Coram-Medford-Jun.5111187327090.jpg

The highways around Medford are extremely busy!! 9.gif

    dsgs.jpg

As well as the subway system, here is a map of subway traffic towards the central station in downtown Medford!!!

    Coram-Medford-May.31111187326953.jpg

Here is the busiest section in downtown Medford; Tilles Square!

    Coram-Medford-May.28111187326905.jpg

And here is a little teaser...

    Replies!

ky72x - Thanks, it is pretty packed downtown (for both cities). Thanks for stopping by! 4.gif

granto93 - Thanks!! Good suggestion about the map, I'll see how I like it with soft hills!

cowcorn - Eventually, suburbs will appear. Until now, its heavy urban building!! Thanks for coming to check it out!!

sEAhAwk fAn121 - Wow, thanks Seahawk!! 4.gif Glad you're liking it!!

    Schulmanator - Thanks Schul!! 4.gif

ilikehotdogsalot - Thanks, Daniel!! Glad you like the subway system!!

penguin007 - Yeah, they are pretty quiet. But I have been noticing the streets and roads and highways start to pick up. I'll show some of that in later updates. Thanks for the comment!!

    jacqulina - Thanks!

SimsRealator - Super Demand Mod! 3.gif Great friend of mine! 3.gif Thanks for commenting!

    Godzillaman - Nah, they aren't plopped. Superdemand+NAM = built up city. 4.gif

Thanks for all the comments, they are really really really appreciated!! 9.gif9.gif

Great update, Mike. Nice to see a wide array of buildings, including all of the Maxis! Looks like like you have traffic problems all over lol. Yes that SDM works well, I use it too and have seen similar results in my cities. 9.gif Keep up the good work!

Still great! Your sims seem to have much more sence than mine. I mean they take logical paths... Mine do very stupid things like looping around a subway section and get back right where they started before getting of in the right direction. Is it me or this game is outrageously flawed?!

Pretty impressive transportation layout, Mike. The wooded coastline is a nice touch too. The seaport is a bit plain, but I really like how the skyscrapers are surrounded by forest. You took concrete jungle a bit literally. 2.gif

Hmmm...so superdemand mod...still its like plopping on a mass scale. Oh well. It looks good!

I love how maxis looks so good when you use it!

And what's that big black building in the center of the city?

Thanks for all the comments on Medford.

    ilikehotdogsalot - Thanks!

ky72x - Thanks Kyle, Maxis really does assimilate well into the mix. 4.gif Traffic problems are bad. 4.gif

cowcorn - Thanks!! The game is flawed Vanilla. The NAM really helps remake the paths, and make them realistic.

SpecialEddie - Thanks!! I did take it a little too literally. 3.gif

    Cheese89 - Thanks, Cheesy!

Godzillaman - Yes, SDM!! 4.gif I'm not sure, but I'll PM you about it when I find it on the STEX.

The comments are appreciated. Update soon!!

    A Delve into Coram!

Welcome back, thanks for the additional comments!! 4.gif

crazyarchitect - Thanks, I'm glad you're liking the twin cities! 4.gif

    sEAhAwk fAn121 - Thanks!! 4.gif

    jacqulina - Thanks!

Amerikaner - Thanks, and me too, I love it! 4.gif

Today we will be looking deeper into Coram; the skyline and such. Here it is!!

    Coram-Medford-Jul.3111187997663.jpg

A rather photoshopped view of the city. 3.gif

    Coram-Medford-Aug.2111187997868.jpg

Here is Coram Central Station, lots of people take the train into the city!!

    Highway 945 (The Innerboro Expressway)

Highway 945 runs into Coram, winding through its highrise residential neighborhoods. It is a sunken highway, and can hold lots of traffic.

    Coram-Medford-Aug.12111187997933.jpg

    Coram-Medford-Aug.20111187998040.jpg

    And here are two features:

    Coram-Medford-Aug.15111187997953.jpg

    Coram-Medford-Jul.10111187997732.jpg

    Hope you enjoyed!! 9.gif

    Comments appreciated as always! 4.gif

Excellent pictures, just excellent. The rail station and the sunken freeway are both well done. Also, the features were great, I liked it! Keep it up, can't wait for more!
