To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

He hasn't posted since early 2007, though. Most of his posts were made in 2006.

Of course, I knew the label would happen but maybe this will remind those who are close to that number...3.gif

You're also nearing another milestone: when you get to 682 posts, you will have equalled your total as simcity4fan12.

Good morning, afternoon or evening, wherever you are around the world, and welcome to Astronelson's 5000th post spectacular! Starting us off was Camille Saint-Saens' Introduction and Royal March of the Lion from his Carnival of the Animals. Performing for us is none other than the Halcyon Symphony Orchestra!

As many of you may know, my tastes in music have a wide range, but this next performance fuses two of my favourite genres. Ladies and Gentlemen, we would like to present to you an orchestral performance of Owl City's Fireflies.

I just wouldn't be Astronelson without space - after all, it's part of my name! And what better piece of music to recognise this than Gustav Holst's Jupiter from the Planets Suite?

I think a little pomp is acceptable, given the circumstances, no? And who else than the number one in Pomp and Circumstance than Edward Elgar?

Well, that's almost it for this programme. We hope you enjoyed the performance. Taking us out to the second half of the journey to 10,000 is the Halcyon Symphony Orchestra's rendition of Europe's The Final Countdown. Of course, I hope that this is not, in fact, the last count down I do, and that I continue to be a presence here well into the future.

Well, what are you all still hanging around here for? Food, drinks and merchandise are available in the foyer. See you all out there!

Like I said in Chat, congrats Astro! Also all those songs actually sound rather interesting/good when played together (well the exception being the Final Countdown as I hate that song and refuse to listen to it 3.gif)
