Yay! Time for another update!!! Sorry it's taken so long to get this update up, and changing it half way through down-time, but I have several unforseen RL things come up (can anyone say stomach flu?), and someone copyrighting two of their characters.... so changes had to be made accordingly.

    So.... time for replies:

blahdy: Thanks, took so a long time to make that frigging map... Also, I always try to give credit where credit is due... and it was WAAAAYYY past due

fledder200: I am afraid.... I'm featuring a high-end mallin this update... (calls up mall security... "We're gonna have an J and A situation at International Mall, be advised for 2 people looting and many trampled old women...")

thundercrack83: Thanks! That HSR will really open up commerce for the city!

JaneJacobs: Yep, I think I did... Already posted the new one there too!

PhilsCafe: Thanks... Way Ifigured, in real life, a city wouldn't just bulldoze a whole section of their city to make an Olympic park, they'd just use existing venues, so that's what I did.

natuurzoon and funkytim88 and sc4portugal: Thanks!

Shanna: Thanks! Your CJ is intersting too!

DanTso: LOL!!! Yes, I really try to keep things tidy in the city... except of course, Midtown.... its rather dirty...

seemurray2: I think I got thoise from a BSC download... can't remember where... Actually, the whole Banner Springs is kind of an insider's joke.... Bonner Springs, which it is based off of, is absolutely nothing like that...

King Titan: That would be the HSR station... I think I got it from a Japanese site....

jacqulina: As always, thanks for visiting my CJ, you always do have such nice thigs to say!

    Tommy_Verctti3: Thanks!

owenluby: Thanks. Actually, its an el train station, but the tracks matched up visually, so I used it...

    socomseal45: Thanks!

Voulpiotis: Thanks! It actually didn't turn out as well as I wanted...

daniel01: I just draw them up doodling, then photoshop them, and see which one I like the most.

Zipme17: I think I got it from a Japanese BAT site, don't remember where, but it is actually an EL train station..

Escipion: Welcome to ST! Not a problem, honestly, your translation is amazingly good! And, I'm honored to be such an inspiration!

And thank you to all of those who gave their opinion in my mini-update!

Now, for what you all have been waiting for... Update 11:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

... We interupt "Desperate Nanny Lost in the City" to bring you this breaking footage live from the West Fields area in Pine Grove...

    pg111wb0.jpg

We are live on scene just west of Pine Grove Intl. where a horrific scene is unfolding. AirNimbus, Flight 817, en route to Sydney, has crashed upon take-off. Those on the on the scene are describing what the see as 'gruelsome' and 'terrifying'. The Stranton X797, operated by AirNimbus, is said to have had an estimated 520 passengers on board, and all are feared to be dead.

We are right now trying to get ahold of the Pine Grovebased airline to get any information.... Airport officials are asking that anyone with family that may have been on board to please meet at the Airport Hilton Conference Hall and wait for word on any more information,

    ...

We now have CEO of AirNimbus, James Cartwell, on the phone.... Mr. Cartwell, can you give us any word on what happened?

"Well, although unofficial, IDOT and PGDOT investigators are telling us that the crash may have been caused the plane getting caugt in a microbust, which in turn sent the airplane, still climbing in the air, to nosedive the 400ft down into the ground below."

    pg112th9.jpg

"As CEO of AirNimbus, I wat to let all the families who lost loved ones tonight that our thoughts and prayers are with them, and that we will be working with investigators in order to find out what happened tonight."

Thank you Mr. Cartwell. We now have word that IDOT is now having a press conference. We now go live to that press conference, already in progress...

    pg113vv3.jpg

".... worst aviation accident in the history of Pine Grove. We have word that there were approximately 534 passengers and 15 crew members on board the aircraft. We have pulled 3 people out of the wreckage, but one of them is not expected to make it through the night. We are still searching the wreckage to look for signs of surviors."

"We have had some time to look at the weather data for that area, as we do see that there was a small microburst in that area, however, we do not yet have an offical cause as of yet for the accident. We will be releasing a passenger manifest to those waiting at the airport, and we ask that anyone seeking to know if they had a loved one on the plane to please call AirNimbus."

"The history of the Stranton aircraft, a X797-3, has only had two accidents in the past, oneinvolving a terrorist bomb in the cargo hold, and one involving a stray test missle stricking the airplane. Neither one had any surviors. We will tell the press more as soon as we have more information."

We will bring you more information as soon as we recieve it. We now go back to "Desperate Nanny Lost in the City" still in progress.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Pine Grove's new logo

    pg117jo3.jpg

Introduced today, on the front of City Hall, is the new face of Pine Grove. To tie into the new era of development and unity, Pine Grove officials have decided on a new logo for the city. The logo, expected to help tie into the modern feel of the city, is expected to cost the city around $1.3 million dollars in renovation, but is expected to create more revenue and jobs for the city as the logo replacement is in progress.

What shocking news... poor people. But I agree with what everyone said... great picture editing. I like your logo choice a lot, btw.

As for the in-game shots, I like your detailed setups. My favorite setting is the PGDOT HQ, great choice of the BAT and very good detailing.

Nice work on the crash coverage - looks quite realistic.

The new buildings are impressive and well done. I have them earmarked for future use myself!

PS: That's a heck of a mall - where did you get it?

Lol, no, the airport won't be closed, the crash was possibly weather related...

Also, the mall is the COCO park, by dmscopio, and ca be found on the stex by searching COCO.

The banners were done in Photoshop, and the wind effect was created by using a burlap texture to them. Also, the URSC logo is simply on the side of the Downtown Convention Center. That is not actually the URSC Pine Grove office.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

Wow, great update. I love it everytime you do the "Breaking News" updates. It's quite creative! I do have a question: Where can I find the building with the Pine Grove logo on it?

Well, actually, when the Airbus A380 enters production, those are expected to hold 555 passengers. So, honestly, I think my numbers are fairly acurate for a full-double deck, double-isle commercial aircraft, which is loosely based off of the A380...

Next, take-off is one of the most stressful points of flight for an aircraft. So, it would be likely that encountering a microbust that soon into takeoff would be fatal.

Last, I haven't yet given the number of surviors. That will be in the next update.

In retrospect, one can only imagine if one were to be fully loaded and crash...

I regret to inform everyone that Pine Grove will be soon ending. However, another brain child is in the works.....

I call it Arbor Lake. Now, I'm not going to disclose much about it, but it will be replacing Pine Grove in every way.

It will be hopefully coming later this week, at the same time of PG's final update!

Well, due to demand, and the fact someone (I'm blaming the cat on this) deleted my Arbor Lake region... (Ok... so it was me....), I've decided to reopen Pine Grove.

With the new, sophisticated Jun 2007 NAM and all sorts of new goodies, Pine Grove will be rebuilt from the ground up.

This means more, higher quality pictures, better maps, and, of course, all sorts of drama and eyecandy!!!

    So, please, stay tuned!
