    Terra Incognita, Part 4

One fine early autumn morning, a convoy of six sturdy ships left the port of Gran Maru, headed to Schulmericho, laden with catnip and kitty litter and other feline necessities. Commanded by greenhorn Captain Bob Terwilliger, often referred to as “Sideshow” because of his crazy hairstyle, the six ships headed east and south, running into a stiff wind as they sailed.

div> <div style=Captain “Sideshow” Bob has a great voice – perfect for show business!

Meanwhile, the ship sailed farther and farther off course. When the evening was done, First Mate Cecil “Sideshow” Terwilliger, the captain’s younger brother, noted that the stars seems a bit out of place for their expected position. Needless to say, an argument ensued.

    Bob was not happy

Eventually, the siblings sat down over a few half caf no fat double lattes and sorted things out.

    Awwwwwww….

Anyhoo, the ship had drifted far to the south of Schulmericho, headed toward some jagged rocks just off of the port bow. Sideshow Bob was in real trouble now! Would the crew be lost">

As the officers discussed their plans, Ship’s Musician Disco Stu said “Disco Stu don’t know what to do – I see some smoke and it aint no joke.”

    div> <div style=
They caught sight of something. This one thing settled for sure that they had found the lost Schulmericho Expedition…

As they approached the settlement, startled residents saw them coming, dropped whatever they were doing, and rushed toward them, screaming in delighted surprise! The rescue had finally happened! The survivors had been found at long, long last! A very emotional scene followed, as the scouting party met the survivors, who related their struggle for survival in great detail. Soon, hundreds of survivors, now residents, and shiphands were having an impromptu reunion party. As daylight began to wane, local leader Professor John Frink showed Captain Sideshow Bob the fields and homes which comprised the village.

    Professor Frink

Sideshow Bob was duly impressed at what he saw.

    Abundant fields

    The settlement of New Atkinos

Frink explained that, without the guidance of the Supreme Wirdle, the survivors established a commonwealth, where a council of humans (no cats went on the expedition) would make decisions. (For the record, they acknowledge the sovereignty of the Supreme Wirdle, but were unable to divine her will.) Survival was very difficult, as they had few tools and arrived with no supplies. They had planted fields sufficient for survival, but had no livestock and no surplus. There was just enough to live. Tending the fields took most of the time and energy of the settlement, so the island remained mostly unexplored. The dashing young captain then offered to sail around the island to see what was there, once his ships were pushed back into the sea.

The next morning, everyone came to the shore and worked on getting the ships afloat once again. Within a few hours, the ships were freed. The flotilla took their hosts on a tour around their island, the first territory not directly ruled by the Supreme Wirdle.

This is the island, New Atkinos.

What happens next is hard to say. This unprecedented event will certainly shake up the status quo back in the homeland.

Welcome to the 200th Set of Replies!

This milestone post brought to you by Sideshow Bob for Mayor. Vote Sideshow Bob.

penguin007 Hope you like the yellow edition!

    Leech10 It's been Simpsonized!

CarmineHilton It has been a while since I had some Simpsons stuff in here, so I thought it was time for a special!

John94538 You are also a coin collector? I collect about anything, though these days I have been focused on emergency and occupation issues of WW2.

Dsrwhat316 Glad you liked the yellow edition!

    GreekMan Thanks!

ky72x A human led area will be interesting to integrate into Schulmania.

PhatHead You have true Lovejoy for Schulmania!

Bakercity They have indeed! Now, what to do with them?

football_fever Now to import some cats!

Leech10 Glad you enjoyed the yellow edition!

    dralin321 Thanks!

    DioAngel Thanks! A dramedy today!

penguin007 That was a bit different, eh?

Za Now you have that song going through my head! BTW, you have a good slate of music for the concert. Me, I can appreciate music, but all I play is the radio!

patriots_1228 Glad to see you back! Monty Burns was a mayor in Schulmania before and also a financier trying to influence the issue of Devonshire's paper money. His bony finger is in a lot of pies!

Zelgadis Schulmania is not all cats - there's the elite feline ruling class and the humanoid Schulminions. The felines need people to service them and clean the litter boxes and so forth!

Naryanna Thanks! Glad you like the yellow edition!

gabry85 Or, as Captain Kirk sais when trying out for the role of Mr. Burns in his movie "Ex! Cell! Ent!"

    KingTitan True! The SIMpsons!
