the00guvna: You seem to be missing a dependancy for that freight station there. :read: And BTW, your city has the same name as mine :O:P

simcitler: That train station is lovely! The maxis subway station could be replaced with something else though.. When shall it be released?

Thank you, the subway station has been replaced. Release? hmm ... when it's ready i think.

The pack will include 3 versions, where one of them is a STR version.

Another station I'm working on is this one (Original by ill tonkso):

Cool stuff! Most stations here look really good but lack proper surroundings like parking places and bus stops etc. so I like what you're doing.

A mosaic of the Cumberland Rail Yards from my CJ:

So, what's the proper way of using these lots? When I've used them in my game, I get those "no road connection" zots. I end up bulldozing them and using other freight yards because of that.

I'd like to use them however, because I think they're the most realistic for large classification yards.

Uhm... did you really need to quote the picture as well? The page is only getting bigger this way...

Anyway, it's a nice mosaic!

Fixed it. Anyway, now that I look at the picture more carefully, I see road connections to all the lots. I guess that's the only way to do it. Ciao!

Yeah, I've always had that problem too, though they way I gave my freight yards road access looks sloppy compared to this. Thanks for sharing Moose, looks great!

Nothing special.

Just a scene from my childhood created in Sc4

c3ec0cb2d71626da5dc68bbb61a32df5.jpg

Telegraph lines along railway lines a rare to see these days as well as semaphores. And except some rare nostalgic trains the giant fire dragons are gone, collecting dust or rusting untill they become what they were: red dust. Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.

Childhood's gone for good. Except in Sc4...

WOW, now that is extremely realistic, I still see that on a daily basis here in South Dakota. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

@BIRIALI

what rail textures are you using? the more agricultural-like feel rather than the default grass under-rail texture? thanks! :)

Looks good, but I'm wondering something; where did you find the train stations and skins, or did you mod them yourself? 4.gif

That is beautiful! Pleas tell me that you will be releasing the El-Heavy Rail Station? 17.gif

@DAB_City: If you mean the station in Nathanthemayor's picture, it is available for download. I used to have it for my game, but then deleted it because I thought the textures were a bit too plasticky.
