I must say that If you had the game for only 4 months, you're doing very good!

I like the layout, I also prefer the sunken rail instead of raised in that particular setup. Though in RL trains hate grades! (ask Nardo69!) and slopes must be kept to a minimum, but besides the reality factor, my appreciation goes first to aesthetics and on that topic I really like it!

The suburbs zoned along the raised tracks, I would have kept an "unzoned" tile between houses to put either a walkway, trees, or a cycleway, the zoning seem to be a bit "compact", just a thought.

The rest is really good, liked the commercial zoning, very credible.

Take care

Wow great update again my Friend. What I found odd was that while I was looking at the first few pics I didnt like the Raised rail. Then I saw that you changed it and it looked much better. I guess great minds think alike!

I need to stop lurking here...

Maybe I just can't harmonize the cat moniker with the poultry nic...I dunno.

Anyway...

Now I have a question for everyone, how do you like my table of contents?? Is it helpful or should I stop bothering with it??quote>

I go for weeks at a time thinking my hyperlinked TOC is lots of trouble to maintain, then I hear from someone who swears by its use.  I'm also 35 pages into 3RR and using it is the only way I can find some stuff.  If you can keep it going, keep it up.  It's, IMHO, well done.  Very clean.  Very clear.

I plan to add a return button in every update as well, that is soon to come!!quote>

I do that by putting the link in my sig.  That has the added benefit of giving anyone who knows about the CJ immediate access to the one truly organized place in 3RR with just a mouse click.

TRV is getting better all the time...and that's from a really great start.

David

Yes. I agree the sunken is better. Looks more realistic. I am very impressed with your commercial area. It would be a good idea to add some housing in the undeveloped area so the commercial is surrounded by residential.. very good my friend..

Great update. I tend to lurk in this cj often, but I must tell you that this is great. Only two things I might suggest: In the pic showing the mall: the staircase going down the wall might be more efficient if it was directly accross from the crosswalk/intersection by the residential areas so those people don't need to walk any further than necessary; and perhaps add a few restaurants up on that plateau across from the mall (a common practice around my town for capitalizing on the centralized mall crowd. Keep it up. It looks better ever time.

I wonder why... I wonder how...

Why I haven't commented TRV before. I've read it from start, and I must say, it really caught my attention. You've got a very realistic suburbs there and the commercial area is looking great too. It's also nice to see you really care about the greenery - remember, green is the most important colour in your city. I only think that the baseball stadium should have more parking space. Parkings aren't too green, I know, however they're necessary.

You're doing pretty nice job there, I'm looking forward to more of it!

Menotyou - Yea, lotsa palms!! Thank you!! 4.gif

BarbulaM1 - Welcome back!! 4.gif Another update is on the way I have been having some trouble with an area and I think its coming together now 4.gif

Yoman3 - Put the torch down!! LoL Thank you!!

wouanagaine - Glad you like it enough to live there, Thank you!!

szarkoz - Welcome, I do like Green and I'm glad you like it so far, as far as parking is concerned I probably should have added more in the beginning but its a little late now 3.gif, Thank you!!

owenluby - Glad you like it, Thank you!!

jacqulina - Thank you very much, I plan to add the kabin somewhere in my CJ, I will have a special update for that 4.gif!!

    Gridlock - Thank you!

Frankie_Grove - Yea I do get development on the 1x1's it takes a little while longer then bigger lots but it works 3.gif!

Waz_Up_Tiger - Welcome, the fireworks just happened to be going off when I paused so i decided to turn the lights off and play around with it!! Thanks!!

Now this is just a overview shot, the area around the mall and now more housing was some tough stuff because the terrain below it was just really giving me a hard time, finally I think I have something worked out and the sunken highway has started also, there is also going to be some rowhomes which are zoned already in the pic!!

Wow lovely seaside suburbs filled with coconut / palm trees! 9.gif They look surely awesome with the beautiful water mod you've chosen to you (if not mistaken it should be PEG's crystal lagoon~) 5.gif Sorry for missing the last update... but it is really great! I feelso guilty for missing it.

Anyway, thanks for this zoomed out shot of the city! Finally I get to have a good look at it. I've noticed you are using some of the big shopping malls... great! They fit snugly into the suburban setting. And it appeals to me a lot as you've invested a lot of time and effort in the planning stage of this city. Keep it up! 44.gif

This is a cozy tropical area crazychickens. You have a nice assortment of homes and commecial zones that compliment each other. I'm assuming you have your industry in another city?

I'm interested to see where the sunken highway will go and what will develop around it. It's a city that is built to grow from what I see. Nice job my friend..

Excellent CJ crazy. First off, great job with that map, I like its diversity a lot. I also like what you've done with it so far, very veried also... the palm trees surrounding the cathedral, the South-Seas-feel of the shore and then the nice, snowy mountains... awesome combo.

I liked the layout of your suburb very much, especially the sports complex is a very nice touch.

    Keep it up.
