I'm looking forward to more since some of these CJs are active and other people are planning new CJs. If anyone sees a map in a CJ, let the member know they should post it here for all of us to admire. 4.gif

Not SimCity related, but if you like the Simpsons, check out this map of Springfield....

Ok, here is the Las Chingadas/Searchlight metro. I am a total transit nerd, and I will generally make the streets and then just run the cities til I get bored and make a new city with more streets. This one is based on DFW Texas, loosely.

First, Lets start with the main map. There are 4 unnamed highways, not including the main I-9 and I-20. I follow USA standards on numbering. Whoever can come up with the most creative names will have them included if I ever do a CJ =)

Then, Here are the other not-so-main highways, that don't merit a numerical designation. They are listed based on one of the cities they originate from.

Finally, here is a shot of my current light rail system. In the near future I hope to have a bus map as well, but this is it for now.

I would love to see a tutorial, even a simple one, about how to go about making these maps.

I woulda liked to have more realistic, Google looking maps, alas I have neither the time nor the skill to do anything better than a rough paint job.

Oh crap! All theese signs are very detailed! My map will look cheap compared to the rest but oh well

I only have MS Paint so this is what I think I am limited to, or is it that i'm lazy to do detail?

All maps look great on this thread44.gif. btw, can anyone tell how you guys do such realistic maps? thanks!

cammo: dude that is a cool map so far. It sort of looks like what Dallas' rail system will look like one day

mc gringo: cool to see some big rail infrastructure. lots of people dont put enough of that in.

MC Gringo -- how on earth did you get that huge Avenue intersection? I'd love to have one of those somewhere in my city... Does it just draw automatically when you drag the diagonal Avenues across an existing 90-degree Avenue intersection?

The Humble GIMP. There's actually nothing really hard to do about that map, either.

BTW, it's already inaccurate, but I figured I'd show ya's anyway.
