Thanks 9.gif

Yes, the white zone is the urban area (mostly high and medium density), the light brown area were suburbs and low-density residential zones (not yet developed at the point of the game I made the map), light green parks and dark green rural areas/woods. Plans was to extend all the lines to the white area borders, and then extend some major lines through the suburbs (or maybe join more then one service on the same track, the point was to have less coverage outside the city), but now everything is lost 15.gif

With that network I managed to have no car traffic problem, and it was even profitable.

Here is one im working on for Pakkusena, there are a few mistakes in the landmass(like a river in the soulth that's been deterraformed already).

Pakkusena is as you may or may not know a joint Project between Me Blahdy and Kumba, and Houston Fan has more or less joind the ranks now aswell.

i dont know how to make a thumbnail so you will just have to click it, im sorry! its missing things like Rail, Roadmarkings, complete town and counties index, Airports and Ports etc, a lot more work and even more collecting data from my fellow members.

here is the picture

Xiziz, that's a nice map, but I'd recommend to use the Brush Tool, rather than the Pencil Tool. It'll look much less jagged that way.

Love that map, Benedict. I remember the Ragged Edge, such a good CJ. 3.gif

There's a tutorial on SC4 devotion by Emilin that goes through the basics, then to get your own style im afrain youll just have to use a trial and error system, everyone learns and evolves their mapping skills after their needs 4.gif

1.2 Million people. No downtown lol. This is only the North West corner of what i have planned. and its HUGE too.

Regading the lines, i have the Western Terminus of the Pink and Red lines (yet to be named) The terminus of the Wood Forest Branch of the, also yet to be named green line. And the Northern terminus of the blue line. I will name the lines when i get more of the city done.

Highway and Major Street Map of Ama City. I name the highways H.. If you see a H.Fr. It's an extra-wide highway. Rts are also major streets. One of those is De Wall Street. This is the main route that takes you from the Upper section of Hire to the Lower Sections.  H-1 is the most used system in the city. It connects the Difret Projects to Central Hire...

Here's what my partly-rebuilt Nyhaven rail system looks like at this stage in the CJ. I decided to experiment with Photoshop's path tool to create a map that at least approaches the quality of Benedict's maps. I might switch to FreeHand for future maps, though, as I already have a working understanding of its path tools.

Nice one porter, thanks for posting it here. I don't know exactly what you did, but it has a cool, almost "sketched" look about it.
