Hey everyone!! its nice to see that the project isnt dead after all... If you're recruting some new team members, I would like to join... I don't know how to MOD or BAT but if someone has the time to teach me i'll be more than happy 4.gif just PM me with an ansewr or something...

Yeah, of course, keep on BATing.

Other than me, nobody BATs "Asian SciFi" buildings, like my Hong Wang Akamanji, Velacosma Associates and Niihama Semei Epica.

I am not in the team, but i strongly recommend that you keep going on the project. I would love to see

what simmars is all about. From what i have seen so far, it looks like its going to be a good game.

as the FBP is getting back up to speed im sure you could relot some of our industrial lots when we release them, also stuff like

our spaceport.... etc

well currently we have just entered our production phase on the project after 12 months of brainstorming, researching and planning. now with the developement of the CAM over at sc4devotion it means that buildings with capacities up to 40-50k jobs will be able to grow, without dilapidation. i am not trying to steal simmars thunder but maybe some of your guys could help us with our project. i dont mean to sound rude but maybe we can sort something out.

Of course, I'd like to see the project go on. Some of the work from before was imaginative. Unfortunately, I don't know how to create buildings and transportation and such. So, I did a ton of music.

I saw in the june edition of game informer (may only be in USA) that simmars was already created and didn't make the cut.  It was not even advertized.  although, a couple were in some of maxis's other games.  Has any one heard of this too?

    Yes, anyone can help out, this is an open community project. Please have a look at the "How to contribute" Thread in the SimMars Workshop forum for information.

    Personally I don't know how to create or modify vehicles, there is a whole forum for this ("Automata Modding") in the Custom Content forum. I don't think people animations can be created/modified.

    You have to become a member first, but we would really like for it to be on the PEX (that's what we call our exchange)

    This is probably one for Andisart to comment on as the most senior member of SimMars project (i think!) but as far as I can see theres no problem, I'll look into uploading it later today and I'll PM andisart

    Is there anyway to make the mods for normal SC4 and buildings work in Sim Mars Beta 2...i tried and i cannot get it to work...?

    @collgab: that really depends on which mod it is, some will interfer with SimMars mods, some not. Since we don't have the time to test this, SimMars is recommended to be installed alone. But of course you can try out what works and what not

    Hey, im new to this site and I LOVE simmars its awesome.... accecpt one thing... I downloaded the simmars and installed it... but it didnt come with the materials one needs to make a map of a place on mars... and Im not sure what to do. I checked program files/maxis/simcity4/plugins and the picture of mars just doesnt show up... what should I do?

    if you want to create landscapes the best thing you can do is download the sc4 terraformer ( https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=391)

    all of the martian terrains are included in the installer, though you may find there are some issues if you are running on vista...

    try opening your sim city game and creating a new landscape.  It should look all martian.  As far as i'm aware the default regions will not change to martian

    ty that really helped and I did find my problem... however I have another... where it says to download a program that manages you regions in the readme... well, I did and... well I havnet the faintest clue how to work it....
