Well it is a superb udpate. Great city. Nice mixture of the original lots and the plugins! Great work. I really like it. Nice use of the NAM bridges. Congratulations! One question, what are the specs of this city?

Good ol' Liberty Islands! Someday, I'll repost my old CJ.

I...don't know where to start.

Ah yes! The first picture!

Quite possibly the most realistic ethnic district of a city I've ever seen! Do those cars really park like that in front of the buildings or is it a mod? If so--great use of realism! That's how they park in Taiwan, I think. I really like how it all changes in one corner--Chinatown here--European South America the next. Marvelous contrast--the key to any urban center!

Hm...Casaneras seems to be pretty wealthy too...with the western style architecture in the business district near Chinatown (or is it within)? It lights up wonderfully at night...

Oh no...slums...I assume those are frogface's? They are stunning in the way they are used here! Ahhh...the highway walls! To prevent the rich from seeing the horrors and desperation just a few feet away! 15.gif

Then it leads to a mosaic--which sees another contrast! More rich people and an elevated road!

I love the little detail into the bicycle tracks in between the houses. A nice little detail. The next picture shows masshousing! 6.gif What a sheer, forested cliff drop and then massive high-rises hugging the hill next to it. Indeed a bonus!

Too bad Torre Miramar has no nightligting...15.gif

Finally: Great use of the highspeed rail project, Jeronij's breakwater walls, and finally Buddybud's highway walls.

Cya.

    Leech10: Thanks!

Going2Chicago: hey long time no see, lol glad to have you back 2.gif. Wow, some pretty high praise there mate, thanks a lot, a few words can say a lot and your comment just did. Thanks for the great comment.

Sim Shady: thank you very much, I hope you find this next update as enjoyable a the last48.gif

Yoman3: Oh I know what you mean about the EL Rail, basically it's a bug (on my side) that I haven't found a solution to. It was putting my cj on hold for too long so I lost my patience and decided to post my cj anyway, but yes, it is very annoying indeed. Thanks for the comment 4.gif

Owenluby: thank you! Wow I feel flattered by your comment, really appreciate it man!4.gif, I'm the one more flabergastered by your comment, lol.

Jacqui: Hi there my friend. I'm honoured to always receive nice comments from a member like you, it really makes me happy and I hope you continue to like and enjoy my updates so that I can continue to enjoy your amazing comments; cheers Jacqui!36.gif

Jarnomiedema: Wow, another amazing comment; it's hard getting used to these great comments Jarno, especially from great cjers such as yourself; I hope you can enjoy my cj more from your computer at uni; thanks for the awesome comment, be sure to pass by again mty friend2.gif

Aleking: Hey Alek. Woo hoo!39.gif it makes me really happy to hear that my cj has reached badass status, some pretty high praise especially coming from the King of the Poop album, lol. Man your cjs have inspired me so much along the many months I've been lurking around them that in some ways it could be said my cj has been inspired your AK cj; wait until you see downtown (in future updates) so you'll know what I mean. Thanks very much man, I loved your comment; it really made me happy, lol I wasn't expecting it44.gif. Thanks again!

Andi: Thanks so much Andi, really cool comment 4.gif

Yoder7652: I'm really happy that most visitors seem to be praising my transportation system.thanks very much5.gif

Hamster TK: Thank you, I hope you like my next update.

bokrif: Thanks a lot man, I really like playing about with the NAM, it's fun plus you also get to learn lots. hmmm... I'm not sure what you mean by the specs of my city...my plugins folder is quite big, nearly 3GB. my city's population is around 400,000 but only on one large tile, the tile i've been showing updates from; it will no doubt grow more since I have two other large tiles (I'm currently developing the main downtown on one of them) there are also lots of medium and smaller tiles.

mightygoose: Thanks dude, hehe it's quite fun having a china town in a city, it gives it that air of multiculturalism, which I love. Thanks for the comment

S1acker: thanks very much, may also thank you for the job you and the committee are doing for the first ever sim olympics, it's been tried so many times before but it always fails, however your idea has definitely taken off.

petriknl: No problem, lol I'm not sure as to what bended building you're talking about. oh i'll certainly be showing rural life but as of now I haven't developed any farms, I think it's time I start doing that. thanks for the comment.

Crazychickensc12: wow, pretty nice comment there thanks a lot, it boosts my confidence. Oh as for the image editing, well I use Photoshop; to get my cities to look the way they do I do the following:

    1- filters>blur>gaussian blur>set to 0.6%

2- Edit>fade gaussian blur>set to 60% opacity for day pics and 35% for night pics>mode>overlay

3- Voila!, your picture's ready, lol

I hope you find that useful, if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to send me a PM and I'll be glad to help.

ilikehotdogsalot: wow, thanks for bookmarking my cj, lol thanks man! as for the things you asked, I used the PEG WATER MOD Brigantine and for the marina I used CSX WFK CSSG Walls

RushHourFreak: I'm glad you spotted that the newspaper is left wing. Yes, Casanares is a compassionate and tolerant society, people have a lot of power, especially the working class which has grown quite wealthy thanks working together as a society; I reflected my own political views on my cj, I'd call my self a moderate liberal.

Eddie: Hey my friend nice to see you again!! first off, thanks for your comment on China Town, I tried to make it different (reflecting eastern architecture) but at the same time I anted it to fit with the old district. As for the cars, no it's not a mod, the lots (which I downloaded off of a Japanese site) already come with the cars parked like that, very clever btw. I like the first section of your comment. Casanares is a medium income country, there is poverty but the compasionate government does a lot to help the poor, especially because the poor have a lot of political power, the state belongs to them 3.gif. As for the slums, hehe no those aren't Frogface's. they're just low wealth housing. And the highway wall is just for the noise, not to preven the rich from seeing the poor. Casanares is a very egalitarian society and it is unconstitutional to segregate people on grownds of wealth...46 years of Socialist governments36.gif. Rich people do exists but they're highly taxed11.gif. oh and the bike paths, they form part of the city network, they were intriduced to the city not long ago and they seem to a lot of good (health effect wise) and of course it adds to the aesthetics of the place. And as for the cliff, it is actually the lowest part of the mountain range that surrounds the city but it is heavily forested since it is under protection. Oh and Torremiramar, yeah it's a pity it doesn't have night lights but I like the building itself a lot.

Thanks once again for your great comment my friend I really enjoyed replying to it44.gif

    Pepsi: Thanks man!1.gif

    timeforanupdateuf8.jpg

I decided to update today because tomorrow I go back to college after a long break (3 months in total) and I don't know when I'll have the time to post my next update since I will be extremely busy studying especially since this is my last year at college and it's therefore very important that I dedicate enough time to my studies, I hope you'll understand.

    Update 9

    More Infrastructure

    Housing (suburbia an more..)

    Randomness, lol.

Edificio Gardel, a sign of wealth in Santa Eufrasia's growing inner suburbs; It is the HQ of Gardel Industries, a government firm which was designed to train and employ disabled workers on mainly high tech jobs.

Suburban shopping centre, where everything is available at the lowest possible prices

Mass housing: Car parks separate the old downtown from the dwellings

    Now on to transport

Estacion de Transporte Publico de Santa Eufrasia, otherwise/commonly known as " la ESTOPUSA", It is a complex of various forms of transport, Including the Helipuerto Internacional de Santa Eufrasia (Santa Eufrasia International Heliport) with constant flights from neighbouring Argentina and from the two local airports that currently serve Santa Eufrasia; it is mainly used by the business elite and by government officials. Also foreign dignataries are also transported here by helicopter from the airport as this heliport is relativey close to the government district of La Quinta Tinta. La Estopusa is also home to one of the largest bus stations of the city, it is also a terminal for the Monorail network and it is the one of the largest stations for the city's metro which is currently only made up of one line (Estopusa Metro Station). As you can probably notice, it is very close to the AC3 (a motorway). Budget hotels are also visible. Estopusa has really brought considerable wealth to the inner suburbs of Santa Eufrasia; the complex was completed in 2001 and has been one of the great achievements of the government of President Antonio Lasséc.

Jerebannus XVI: i just noticed, there is a province here in Colombia that is called Casanare. i really like the name, loving your creativity, i just think that Sc4 is for creating your own utopia with religions, and political views, and i agree with that, so congratulations, hope this feedback motivate you to keep this cj and make much more! Incredible transportation layout,

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?! WELCOME TO PAGE 6

(MY SECOND TIME OPENING A PAGE FOR

    CASANARES)

    (To my comment)

Sorry if I confused you! I meant these (if they were frogface's)

    slumib3.jpg

I meant those homes that are in white with the pink roofs. Anyway, Once again--another great update. I hope this CJ wins the "Most Aesthetically Pleasing" Trixie this year--I know I'll be voting for it.

Once again, I love the middle class look of Casaneras! Courtesy of the kind government, lol. I really like the way you mix in high-rises and small residential buildings, it adds space in between the buildings. It's really nice.

Ah--deadwoods highway walls. Wonderful use of them! It takes a bit of getting used to, but the effect is always realistic--as I see here in this CJ

Lol...I see one of Simgoober's Adult Factories in your city. I love the humor in his BAT's!

    Good luck in college, man.

I have just discovered your CJ, it is one of the most beautiful than I saw until now.

It is a remarkable, indeed very impressive work.

I like your mosaics a lot, they show your grandiose cities.

    It is simply superb.
