    Update 1

The Republic of Casanares is located in South America (fictionally) bordering only Argentina which it was once part of (under military occupation from independence from Spain up until the end of World War II when the Government of Juan Domingo Peron withdrew his troops after signing the Casanares Statute - El Estatuto de Casanares - which marked the country's second independence cycle. More on history and national symbols in future updates, more information will be available from the SCJU's Wiki Site

    Santa Eufrasia (Capital City)

    Boulevard de la Soberania

I present you with my fisrt update. Bouldevard de la Soberania is Santa Eufrasia's widest avenue, one could say it is the equivalent to Times Square in NYC or Picadilly Circus in London. It is located in the city's old quarter known as La Quinta Tinta.

the iconic Obelisco de San Isidro is Santa Eufrasia's most famous landmark. Built in 1946, it was erected to commemorate the end of World War II and the end of Argentine occupation. (Image: looking east to the river)

The circled building at the top of the mosaic is Casanares' Stock Exchange (BDVC). Projects are underway to relocate the Stock Exchange and donate the building to the SCJU's Chancellery of the Exchequer, which Casanares currently heads.

    Ah, excellent start Jeb!

    Wow, that's a wide avenue. 46.gif

I love the variety of buildings you've chosen. They blend together really well.

I'm looking forward to more! 44.gif

Fantastico! An impressive start. I really like the heavy Argentinian feel of the city! I assume that Boulevad de la Soberania is based on the 9 de Julio avenue in Buenos Aires?

    Excellente!

That boulevard kinda looks like Canal Street (minus the Street car tracks) in New Orleans. I think it's the widest street in the world.

turns out I was wrong. but, apparently it's the widest street in america to be called a street rather than avenue or boulevard

Great start to what will hopefully be an awesome CJ ... one to follow for sure as it progresses through the History of this small but stunning beautiful Nation.

Nice to see so many SCJU Members come out of the woodwork to support you here.

I love what you done to create Bouldevard de la Soberania ... very original to me, I hope that this is a sign of things to come too.

I can't wait to see your next update... and perhaps a Regional picture too.
