    Water Color Decided
I ended up going with a slightly different dark color that looks nearly the same but a bit better. After changing the map it really came together....Keep posted for an update with the darker color

Hmm, just a very picky nitpick, 23rd avenue, when it goes down into the valley of whitemud creek, it actually changes to a road, and then goes back to an avenue (well, they're making it an avenue, currently.) I don't know if your getting that picky, but I thought I might as well tell you. 1.gif

The Edmonton Sun! why is it praising the city though? The Sun newspapers usually say bad things. Or was that the Star that does that? either way, congratulations!

You've barely started and already it's won an award! Keep up the great work!

Some developement on Castledowns. This area is alot like Millwoods. A newer area with many curvey roads. Somewhat mid to highwealth and Edmontons version of a bedroom community despite being right in the city. Castledowns is nearly all residential with minimalls popping up here and there. I also did some development in Bonnie Doon, and 97th street heading North out of the city.

I would have thought Riverbend or Callingwood (just south of callingwood actually) would be more bedroom community-ish

I'm not from Edmonton. I was reading a book about the city and it mentioned something about Refinery Row. Where is that, exactly (I was told it's along 101st Ave east of 50th St, but since I've never been there, I can't verify), and how do you plan to recreate it?

Quito : Refinery row is an area where full of refining plants for gas and oil. Oil and Gas are major industries for Alberta and Edmonton is the backbone of the work force. Alberta also has more oil then the entire US. The only thing is most of it is in what they call Oil sands so its unconventional Oil. But here is a small sample of where and what refinery row is.

Here is the map and very roughly most of the area it covers.

This is a picture from the river valley and part of the park system. That is the 50th street foot bridge in the foreground. Just one small are of the river valley I mountain bike at.

And this is a picture from 1987 when an F4 tornado touched down 6 times hitting many parts of eastern Edmonton. One of the most trying times in Edmontons history.

And this is about half of it (to the north).
