Hey Dan,

Just a questino for ya. Are you placing the bus stops according to where they are in real life? Or are you just using them so as to make your tranportation system better? Also it is great that Telus is being made I congradualte Dudy for the challenge (even if it isn't much of one.) Keep going strong man.

MTLT17 : I cant place all the bus stops or routes where they go. To keep jobs in areas I've had to add them where they normaly wouldn't be found. For a few I place them where they are if its possible.

Wow great job Dudy! Can I make a suggestion though? The top part of the building needs to be a touch shorter than it is now. Other than that, I thought it was the exact the same thing until I looked closely for about 10 seconds. Nice work guys

I got back to building roads. Plus around the area the Telus Building is in Downtown I placed 10-20 smaller but notable buildings after doing alot of photo referencing. Plus I may have found a neat but doable way of creating the Shaw Conference Center which is built into the Valley wall. Dudyconstructors work on teh Telus building is coming along great.
Here is what I have done with the roads.
1-This was an area I've avoided for a very long time. Jasper ave and area. This is considered Edmontons inner city that is circled. Also the poorest area. It is full of churches and old house...plus fun diagonal roads.
2-And in this area I did from Wellington and up into Castledowns. Castledowns won't be as hard as Millwoods but is a very simular community.

Awesome job TJD! Could you possibly show us a screenshot of the whole city as it is? Or is there not much exciting yet?

I have a suggestion for you, TJD. I noticed that the avenue below the cliffs are a little edgy. Perhaps you could level it and repave the road so that it would look flatter and neater. Just a little thing like that could cause a ton of perfectionist's problems. Hope you don't work your ass off trying to do all of that!

KillerEwok : Its hard to notice on that view but its on an incline and diagonal. If it was flat I would sculp it but to get it to that level took enough effort lol.
Thats Grierson Hill by the way.

which areas do you plan on zoning next?
Can we expect much more work in the near future?

How are you going to deal with that lack of jobs in most of your cities?

What are we going to do without the NHL this season?

    Feepa :
-I'm zoning Northwest of Downtown and placing some Com Buildings aswell to get the job bases up. Plus I'm trying to do as much time on roads as I am for any building. There are a ton of roads to do as you know.
-For jobs I may try the Traffic Pathfinding mod to get people to there jobs. In Edmonton you can cross the city in an hour. In the game in one City/Community it takes 2hrs, never mind the city. I may look for someone to make a 1x1 lot set that carries 1000 jobs of each Com and Ind.....It could be placed yet unseen filling the demand.
-I'm at work for the week. Plus out of the Emergency room today. So.....I'll be working on it for an hour or 2 a day if I have time and more on my next days off.
-And for hockey I went to the Edmonton RoadRunners Debut and seen some great! hockey. So in the mean time and in between time.....Screw the NHL and all involved.

This is getting so suspensful. After 1 whole year the area I was most looking forward still hasn't been done! Riverbend. Not that I am mad or anything because I am not. Anyways, good job.44.gif

Nothing really exciting. But a hard planned and measured area. Terwillegar Drive is a diagonal freeway. Not the easiest area to build. The sarounding area will be high wealth residential with many curved roads. But again with all the building developement I want to continue on the large amount of roads that need to be layed out still. Tackeling the harder roads now inbetween developing stages is really helping me stay into it and now want to take a break. I should be building at this pace for a while to come. Also tomorrow (29th) Dudy will be texturing the Telus building so it should be ready within a few days.
And for brtlrt : Riverbend is going to be a very hard area. I have the Dawson bridge done and Jasper ave nearly finished above. Now its to get Rowland road and other roads done. I also have to terraform that area as you can tell from region views and the cliff that is or isn't there lol. That will be a very hard area to recreate.

Is the TELUS sign on yours left of where its supposed to be? Im not sure its difficult to see. Might want to check that. The sign would pop out nicely if you went a few shades lighter on the squares that are beneath it. Sorry if i sound critical, its obviously very close. I just think a few simple details would go a long way.
My opinion is that youshould make the lights a little more random. I think i know what you are getting at with the strips of lights, and strips of darkness. Like on pics of the world trade where you can see where the different companies lease out large sections of a floor and they are lit correspondingly. That may be more realistic, i just think it looks better aesthetically if they are random...so consider it but you could go either way. As far as the color..i dont know because i havent seen the building at night.
