If you really like to create accurate HK, I think you should try depart from doing R$$$ if you continue to give them blue-ish neon nightlights, as that is very unrealistic. Mostly R$ residents or CO occupants use those, R$$$ never uses them, except maybe in their kitchens or toilets. I hope I am making sense. What do others think? Otherwise, I think they still look wonderful during daytime.

I feel that warm interior lighting is the best option for R$$$ and R$$.

Hi i am new here, just another new guy, but i quess someone should really do the exhibition center cause a hong kong map without a hong kong landmark u see from the other side of the island isn't really hong kong. It just so eyecatching the exhibition center that u see it, ohh its not there. Someone should really do it 'professional's' and the madame tussaud on the peak or should say peak-tower that will complete a bit more simcity 4 hong kong i guarantee u.

So I've been working on Long Beach again.. and man - its a real puzzle piece! The hardest part is figuring out the roof inconsistencies. There are so many different roof variations of it, I wish somebody was talking photos of the uppers parts from the view of the Silver Sea cause right now I don't have much reference. Once one full tower is completed I feel the rest will come easy, but each one needs its own little tweak to the structure.

So... I'm hoping T Wrecks can come around and spruce up this LOT I made for Caribbean Coast Phase 1. It will need to be TE'd on the two front avenue sections and some general filler in the gaps. The large blank space in the back can be pretty bare or simple cause that's how it is in reallife.

The Towers are a PROP, and the Avenue is also a prop. This can be ready to go anytime, but I need to render the night view for the base, however work can be done on the LOT simultaneously since, really you don't need a night view for that. Phase 2 and 3 .. hopefully should not have such a large base, since parts of those lots will include full buildings like the Primary School and the College that comes with this beast.

This chunk you see here is 14x13.

Great stuff I love your models! is the avenue texture a bit too saturated? and is there a under-ground parking under the pool?

I think the empty back should be carefully lotted, maybe even add another building or a under-construction area, even if it is not real, it is a huge "empty" area,

Yeh, since the Avenue is actually a PROP, I could make it overhang at the back, effectively cutting off 4 tiles. That could really free up room in the back to zone something. But I'm pretty stuck on the RL view. The base is not entirely accurate either, just the pool and tennis court is in the correct position, it is so hard to find decent photos of the base. As far as the Avenue texture, its taken from a TuLeps Turning Lanes mod, and also blends seemlessly with the NAM Transit Textures Mod.

That back Area I was just gonna fill with a field and some thick trees.

Well, since it is Hong Kong, perhaps the space could still be put to use in the form of a miniature golf course, transit station/stop, communication equipment, or other type of urban facility. Of course that doesn't mean that I'm opposed to dense forest, but I feel that in such a huge city, there would still be utilization of land across the street from a major tower complex.

Here is the base for Phase 2, it is MUCH more accurate and the base structure is more uniform, needs more roof junk decor and stuff but I'd say its about 80% done. There are roads and avenue here as well, but as it is a separate prop its not in the scene. Luckily this LOT is much smaller, and directly in the front will be a Garage and a College if you can believe that. But those are separate buildings, and thus, separate Lots.

Base of Phase 1 will be updated to conform to that of base 2, including some partial elevated walkway.

@ Aaron Graham: The towers were modeled 4 YEARS ago!! I can tell cause the file modified date is 2007!! The project was just so big back then but now with Bat4Max 5 and 3ds Max 2011 it is much more feasible and easier to render. I like Bat4Max 5 so much I'm going to re-render Sung Hung Kai Center and a host of older office type pencil towers.

The only downside is that because they are old models I have to export them as FBX and then re-import them.
