Well, since I live on a backroad and have to deal with lowly old dial-up, I can tell you that it is certainly not friendly towards the system. the animation moves very slowly, jerking along until it has finnally loaded. But anyways, it's awesome, great job Dirk!

The first true spring sign came to mee to, last week i was able to stand out in a mild swedish spring night, with an umbrella in one hand and a bottle of wiskey in the other, with the spring rain splashing of the umbrella, and no snow in sight.

You should have variations, like one day it might have rain and lightning, and another day have the sun shining in it, or something like that, so it isn't as stale

Looks awesome, but the gray forums do look out of place now. Also, you should make a button that replaces the animation with a still picture of some clouds. That way dial up users can get a bit of reprieve.

I love the new logo. This animated sky really brighten's one's mood. Its the best logo change you have done yet.

 

Maybe in the winter we can try snow instead of clouds. And in the summer you can try to add a sun with its rays animated.

 

I just hope this animated logo does not slow Simtropolis down or create problems for Simtropolis. I really hope not, because this logo is wonderful. Please if possible try to keep it.

I've tried to keep it within reason, especially for dial-uppers, but you should only ever need to wait for it to load once...

PS. I think it matches well the site, it's the same blue that's used in all the links... Personally, I think it fits well.  Don't expect any drastic colour changes all over the site -- I'm really keen on it being fairly neutral
