So, there isn't a way to get your entire region? I have a region with probably about 150 or more cities in it.

You can use a program called Region Census available on the SC4Devotion LEX here.

This is my region in "San Francisco"

It has a population of 899,712

7532804094_0147169b59.jpg

This is my new region, The United Cities of Utopia.

This is only part of the region, as I have just made this today and am going to make it into an entire nation.

This is what the whole region looks like :) It's HUGE!.

And as I go along I'm going to add mountains and rivers and canyons etc. It's just, I don't like using the terraforming tool because it looks like the region below this one, and I don't like that way it looks.

Not truly related to SC4, this is a map I am working on, it's still unfinished. It's a map of a part of the fictional country where most of my SC4 regions are located. I've posted a similar map earlier in this forum, of another part of that country, but this one has lots of mountains (lots of work). The land is located around a shallow sea with some tidal inlets. To the north are hills, and to the east and northeast are high mountains. In this mountain region is a large and very deep like, a bit like Lake Baikal in Siberia. To the south are more low lying areas, with some dune rows near the coast. The southeast has some large lakes on a flat area that is above sea level.

The grey lines are borders, light grey is of Provinces within a country, dark grey is of the countries themselves. In the mountainous area, some lines are missing because I want to redraw them to fit the water drainage divide, many borders in the real world follow these divides.

I now have to keep filling in all the hills and mountains with colour to finish the map.

Feel free to use the colour scheme I left in the middle for your own maps!

Hi Wiecher,

This picture is very impressive :O

How do you generate that kind of image ?

Izi

I used MS Paint and a colour scheme I got from a weather site, and then I just started drawing, line by line, pixel by pixel.

I started with the outlines of the lowest elevations and worked my way up through the colours.

PS I find it strange my post is in this thread since I am fairly certain I originally posted it in the Show us your maps thread... Some moderator moved it?

Roughly how long did that map take you to make?

My natural growth region I'm working on. It's not that small, but I'm just showing parts which are already inhabited...
