Fabulous interchanges mitsos. Are they from the new NAM? It's just a shame those street-lights have concrete bases. They'd look better blended into the grass.

I like the pond in the middle. That's a nice touch.  8/10

vershner: Impressive though could use more traffic on the roads to put more life into it. Other than that the layout is very nice. 8/10

mitsos: The european buildings clashed heavily with some maxis buildings and they seem out of place. But the Highway design is by far fantastic. 9/10

Shadow_prophet: Lovely rural scene, can't fault the landscape at all.  The lens-flare seems unnecessary though. You only usually get lens-flares from something reflective. 9/10

The Arrowz: The two buildings in the bottom left detract from the shot; 8/10

Shadow_prophet: I like it; 9/10

Vershner: intersting area; 7/10

mitsos:how many highways are intersecting there?; 7/10

Shadow_prophet: mystical; 8/10

Nice image, but I think it could do with a little Photoshopping to make it more interesting. Maybe blurring and de-contrasting the background parts, and adding some more lighting and contrast in the foreground. 8/10.

Ratings - Page 97

The Arrowz: Great CBD area, the choice of buildings and colors are also great 8/10

Shadow_prophet:  Seems a bit too busy for me, but I guess that was the point of the picture 3.gif 6/10

danielcote: I couldn't see the picture :/ bandwith limit.

vershner: Wow! Very nice, I really like the pipeline and water canals. I also like how you payed attention to every detail. Great Job 9.5/10.

mitsos: Great interchanges, I like how the enviromental area mixes well with the urban area. Nice job! 8/10

Shadow_prophet: Very nice, I am definatly a fan of a rural area, seems like you perfected that, 9/10

delija21: I don't care you got this from a CJ, however I am only going to rate on your photoshopping because obviously the picture isn't yours 3.gif Anyways the snow is very nice 8/10.

aiumkastarkius: I unno about this one, it seems a bit to maxisy for me, i really don't know because I like the buildings but the textures are kind of blank. So I will rate 7/10.

delija21: Great photoshopping! I really like the old picture however I am not sure they would have a building like that (far right building) from how the picture quality is... 3.gif great job anyways, 8/10

steelersfanforlife: I really like the park but I think you should blend it in with an area surrounding it. It could be rural, suburban or even have your CBD surrounding the park. 7/10

aiumkastarkius: 7/10

delija21: 9.6/10

steelersfanforlife: 7/10

elemented9 => Nice, but the concrete sidewalk and the hard curves of the rails make it looking not really good. The cars in the top make it more real, and the mix of trees is very nice. I'll give you 8/10. try to use the NAM curves. 2.gif

The Arrowz => Simply awesome night shot. 9.5/10.

De Ja Vu => Very nice use of RRP things, maybe just the cow in the fences... 3.gif 9/10

The Arrowz: Reminds me of Liberty City in GTA, a little. Awesome work! Though the elevation in the city is sketchy.

De Ja Vu - Wow very nice! I'm curious how the area around that looks; 9

art128 - Maybe not the most wealthy setting, but good shot; 9

steelersfanforlife - Massive park; I like the fences 3.gif 8

Thanks everyone! I'm starting to get the hang of making downtown "cores"; I'll post a new one when I find the time to fire up simcity.

Archean - Haha I see it too; unfortunately I forgot how to make the effect so that'll be the only picture that looks like that lol; and yeah I just noticed the elevation on the top building. No worries, I made sure most elevations look realistic in my newer cities.

haha nah jk. Nice picture, although there's at first glance it seems there's only like 4 or 5 buildings repeated. It looks nice, but too much repetition for me; 6

Try imageshack in the future, always worked for me 4.gif

looking nice, maybe too much repetition of the same tower..

And I think the buildings are too close of the sea. But nice, I'll give you 7.5/10 !

One of my personal favorites...

Overview%201.jpg

The Genevran capital of Montereau as seen in my CJ the Grand Duchy of Genevra. One of my favorite pictures to date, while I'm not fond of zooming out (because you loose so much detail) I still think this one turned out quite nice and it gives a good overview of the city.

----

@De Ja Vu: Amazing! I simply love rural landscapes especially when cows are present! Great use of color as well as Chrisadam's amazing fences and trails. I especially love how the trail to the farms flows seamlessly into the lot.

9/10

@Arthur: Depressing communist tenements mixed in with industry; always a winning combination. 18.gif Some of the grass doesn't match (switches between high and low wealth) and the street itself is inconsistent. Other then that the lens flare detracts from the overall image.

7.5/10

@Evillions: Interesting image, though I'd prefer to see a close up of this shot instead. Some of the buildings are very repetitive though I like the way the tree towers at the top are arranged. The shoreline itself could also use some work. I also question your use of streets (I believe they are streets) in a downtwon, urban setting.

5.5/10

The Arrowz - Now that's what I call a mosaic! You've really captured the look of the city at night. Archean rightly compared it to Liberty City. It's just as lively as the GTA's one. Great job! 9/10

De Ja Vu - The use of RRP is very prominent in this pic, and that's good thing for me, since I love it! 2.gif The work with flora is also good, and I like those logs next to the farm - a nice touch! Though those escaping cows are... a little strange looking. But that's a really minor problem. 8.5/10

Art128 - Lovely, yet depressing, typical for your building style low-wealth housing estate plus a good choice of BATs must result in something awesome, and it did once again! The little problem though - this white thingie on the left/middle of the pic doesn't look too good. But apart from that - good pic. 8.5/10

steelersfanforlife - What a nice park, that tower is a nice touch! This pic is good, though some post-editing (Photoshop, etc.) would show us the whole potential it has... 7/10

Evillions - I was never fond of so dense downtowns in SC4, simply because of one thing - the repetition of building is very visible in such places. Your pic, unfortunately, suffers of that problem too. But it's a night shot, so let's give it... 6/10

Dark_Jedi06 - I'm speechless... This just showcases the quality of your city building abilities. Awesome choice of BATs, unimaginably good lotting, and good photoshopping. This deserves no less than 9.5/10

What I'm going to give you for tearing apart? Hmm... Let's go with my only pic that went to Hall of Fame over at SC4D...

Dark_Jedi06 - Well, I think I can't say anything ! 9.5/10 cause the transition between houses and W2W is too abrupt for me..

krzakulek49 - Very nice picture, even if there's just a canal (beautiful BTW). Also, the gird and the non build zone at the top doesn't looks great... 7.5/10 Here's a new one by me :

Nice pictures everyone!

Q: How do I take (good) screenshots again? Was it CTRL+ALT+S ??

Well, basically you can use CTRL+ALT+S but I advise you to use Clip2Clip available on the LEX here.

And to take good screenshot, take a place with cars (for life and maybe people walking) not at the maximal zoom, and avoid all unbuild zone.4.gif

Dark_Jedi06: I like it a lot! Those bright green trees on the streets look really nice and fit well with the surrounding! I'll give it a 9/10 because of the repeatition.

krzakulek49: Awesome! 9.4/10

art128: Looks really good! I like the choice of buildings, they go well with the sandstone pavements! 9/10
