Hawkeye9 - Nice suburban image. Very realistic. -1 point for leaving the minimise icon in the bottom left though. So overall 8/10.

art128 - Great Eastern European style image. I like the under-bridge path. I don't like the wall-to-wall building in the centre though. It doesn't seem to fit very well with the buildings on either side. Also, the lens-flare looks unrealistic, so it detracts from the image. Overall 8/10.

Vershner: 8.5/10 - It looks nice,if the colours were much vibrant and more asian buildings in there will make it 10/10,but its very impressive my friend! 4.gif

It's been awhile since I've posted so here's a pic to get back in swing. Rate if you like. Just a nice pic from a city I've been playing with. If I screw this up ... don't yell at me.

Seems to have worked okay but why is the pic so big ? I selected resize when I uploaded it to imageshack. hmmm.

art128-Fantastic layout overall. I particularly enjoy how the bridge blends in with the overall scenery. 9/10

vershner- Pretty good. I don't favour certain maxis buildings but i do admire the sunken areas. 9/10

Victor Valdes- Nice area design overall, though personal taste, the bridg looks slightly out of place a bit. 8/10

John Kirby- Not a bad shot of that really nice building but i wish i could see more of the surrounding area. 7/10

JayStimson- I like it but it seems a bit bland to me. The trains are nice, but i wish there was more life on the roads. 8/10

Something from me that i havent posted in a while

Here's my pic, it's kind of a rural road. Well, it's not as good as some pics in this page...15.gif

JayStimson; 8/10. I think the avenues look a bit empty, but it can be hard sometimes to get traffic where you want it. I struggle with that myself. Otherwise a great pic.

Shadow_prophet; 9/10. Very structured and I like that. Moderate repition of a few lots here and there always works great with seaports and I think you did that well. I also love the scale of it. All those enormous containers are impressive.

Stomtroopa;  7/10. I am left wanting more, which isn't a bad thing. I am curious what else is in the neighborhood. One too many motels I think, but as I said, if I could see more it might make more sense to me.

Here's one I wish had more cars in!

vershner: I love it, the faded colors give it a cool, gritty look, and the asian buildings always look good. Could be more colorful, but eh, I imagine it's supposed to have that drab feel to it. 9/10

Victor Valdes: Very pretty, I like that bridge thingy. Would like to see more of that park though, and the surrounding neighborhood. 8.5/10

John Kirby: Nice, but there's not much to see apart from the diagonal corner building, maybe a more zoomed-out view would be nice? 8/10

Jay Stimson: I love this one, it makes me think of some Pacific Northwest city. 9/10

Shadow_prophet: Interesting, looks like space cargo carriers? Nice. 8.5/10

Simtroopa: Has a cool small-town/rural feel from what I can tell, but like Muck308 I'd like to see more. 7/10

Muck308: Love the roundabout, and the w2w buildings. Very nice. 9.5/10

    adobesprings.jpg

Here's mine, nothing too fancy. Deleted the traffic since it's supposed to be pre-car (but I let some gas stations slip in anyway, oops). If you want to see more, just check out my CJ, Adobe Springs.

Muck Looks good, but the maxis building sticks out like an eyesore, and I'm not so sure about the building in the middle of the roundabout (Independence Hall? 7/10

Amryai I really like the idea of a pre-car city, but then what is that road doing there? I also see several structures that are undoubtedly post-car (later than say 1880) 7/10

    I'll post my own soon

Thanks for the rate, yeah I probably should have not done the road, but...it's supposed to be around 1875, and in my CJ it's going to be into the car era within a week or so (real-time) anyway. Plus I needed the road to connect to other cities (I suppose I could have just had the road around the border, but that would have bugged me). Anyway. Yeah it's not too realistic for the era, lol.

Shadow_prophet: those avenues; not the best/most realistic layout 7/10

Stomtroopa: not much going on but alot of attention to detail, 8/10

Muck308: love the little path leading to the roundabout! 8/10

vershner: That's probably my favorite image on this page.  Looks like winter somewhere in the North Pacific.

Hawkeye9: Convincing 'burbs you have there.  I like how you've selected houses which are alike enough to appear as though they were all built by the same developer, while at the same time avodiding looking like someone just ran the plans for one house through the photocopier.

buildsolid: I don't know if that....erm, what is that?  All of Frank Gheary's buildings look like the aftermath of a fire in a sheet metal warehouse to me.  Anyway, whatever it is, I don't think it really works as well as it could in the middle of a featureless open lawn.

    Stomtroopa: Too much blur.

JayStimson: There doesn't appear to be any subject in your photo.  There's nothing really wrong with the scene, but there's no place the eye naturally falls.  If you have Photoshop or the GIMP, perhaps add some motion blur to the trains?

Amryai200: I like what you're trying to do, but I don't really know if it works.  Besides the gas station, you have cars in driveways and a paved road with a double yellow line.  If you hadn't told us it was supposed to be pre-automobile, I would have just taken it for a small rural town.  A decent one, but definitely 20th century.

    Anyway, here's mine:

Stomtroopa; That's a nice shot. Very serene at a glance, but the traffic then livens it up a bit. A tad too blurry for my taste though. 8/10

aaronperry; Looks busy, as it should on game day. I love the underground staircase on the left. also 8/10

RedImperator; That a fantastic shot but I'd like to see it at another zoom level... one in either direction. It's too hard to frame at this zoom level. Zoom out a bit for a more complete shot of your CBD( provided it isn't humongous) or zoom in for a better look at those colorful windows. 9/10

RedImperator: That's a very nice pic, and i like night shots a lot 9/10

Muck308: Like the waterfront buildings, it has that feeling of a small town village, but don't you think those boats need more space? 8/10

Hawkeye9: Really nice, it's different, especially that light 10/10

Muck308: im much more of a fan of local small and more realistic pictures, than sky scrapers, and i like this image really realistic, im sure its not but the cliff and trees look a little superimposed haha! nice accident there! but overall i like it 9/10

Hawkeye9 haha thank u Hawkeye9 for a gracious return! nice very realistic looking, did u photoshop in the search light or does it come with the lighthouse? very good 9/10
