Ah, human nature, we all want to see everything.  However in reality, such areas are usually left overgrown in most settings, at least in my experience.  Thus the glimpse of it passing through the trees rather than a clear detailed shot of the creek itself is what I sought after2.gif.

On top of that you have to see the creek as a modifier, a foil, to the development next to it, as opposed to the center of the photo-it's there to build on the rest of the composition.  I also have no idea why I'm going into such detail on this, it's probably just the alcohol from last night talking, so I'll stop my senseless rambling and let everyone get back to their day.  Are you still reading this?  What's wrong with you, I said scat!, go! back to your day9.gif.  All right, I'm done.

penguin007: 8/10 The area looks nice, but the soft glow reminds me of a Barbara Walters interview

wwetom1:  6/10 Great building, and I like how it's placed alone on an island (something I've done often) but it's way too plain and would look much better not on the edge of the map

Alien_397:  9.5/10  I don't know why, but it reminds me of real rivers many years when they're way too high, maybe in Missouri or southern Minnesota.  Seems like those areas on a cloudy day

patfirefghtr:  9/10 Just for the challenge.  Getting those dams to look right can be a major challenge.  I don't like how they're on the edge of the map, but the placement is sweet (along with gizmo's water flora)

Alien_397:  9/10  Looks like a nice quaint little town. Looks like some anti-grid at the bottom, and great small-townish building placement

Here's mine...updated the town with a new seawall and jeronij's ploppable water

Ratings

penguin007: I really like the effect, but maybe you could delete some flora from the pond? 2.gif8/10

wwetom1: Not quite realistic... 3/10

Alien_397: I really like the river and the effect.. It makes the bridge look diagonal!! 9.6/10

patfirefghtr: Looks good! Nothing more to say, héhé 9.gif8/10

football_fever: Jeronij's water is really hot! 3.gif And in looks good with the walls... I'm not that sure about the space ships though :/ 7.5/10

Did anyone ever tell you not to doublepost? This is not allowed here. Use the edit buttom to add things to your previous post instead of posting and double posting all the time, something I have seen you doing in different threads. It would save space, therefore logic, no?

Thanks.

Here's another pic of mine, an overflow......

E.J.C: . . . . . . . . Wow... 9.9/10

HuskerDude: Nothing really makes me go wow but still 8/10

C0ckatoo-210893: Ah towering skyscrapers in a dense city, my kind of place.

The_sanderson: okay quite good, 7/10

sepsis: Hmm for some reason reminds me of a scene from Resident evil 4 9/10

penguin007: The pond looks weird but aside from that it's very good. 8/10

wwetom1: . . . i like the ... trees? 5/10

Alien_397: Applies to both pics. 9.9999999/10 I think that says it all

patfirefghtr: More colour but other than that 7/10

football_fever: Never would have known it was all plopped water. Always loved your sci fi theme. 9/10

CarmineHilton: nice resedential area 9/10

mrbisonm: Did the pipe sprung a leak. 7/10

dosomthin90210: Nothing really impressive but i like the area 8/10

Okay before anything, I'm just going to say in this pic i am going to chuck realism and what not all out the window.

Whoah! Got a lot of work here, lol!

HuskerDude: Not a bad work at all, there's something missing here, although I can't say what. 8/10.

C0ckatoo-210893: Don't know why, but that's remember me of Blade Runner, jk! 2.gif Amazing, as always, but can't see a road. 8.5/10.

The_sanderson: Nice pic, but IMHO I feel that those buildings need to be built in a more central area. 8/10.

sepsis: The bright effect here suits very well, looks realistic! 9/10.

penguin007: Excellent bloom effect, looks a good painting! I would suggest to use the new ploppable water from SC4devotion by jeronij as Alien_397 recommended earlier. 9.5/10! 44.gif

wwetom1: Interesting, but it would be MORE interesting if you'd show the surrounding area and fix those roads. 2.gif7.5/10.

Alien_397 #1: There's such a realism here that I don't need to comment, lol! 10/10! 35.gif

#2: Looks very realistic, good work! 9/10.

patfirefghtr: Excellent terraforming, great work with the "sepia" colors! Like it! 9.5/10! 4.gif

football_fever: Excellent! Great work on details! 9.5/10! 29.gif

CarmineHilton: Great realism! Looks carefully designed. 9/10.

mrbisonm: Looks great, but is that all? 7.5/10.

dosomthin90210: Hmmm, you could improve it a little bit, try with some parks and the traffic generator . 7.5/10.

Shadow_prophet: Wow, it must be very time-spending! The area is realistically big! And I appreciate that lens flare effect! 9.5/10! 10.gif

Amerikaner: Excellent shot, not sure about the building on the right, but that's just me. 2.gif9/10.

I was about to take some new shot from my city, but it's from this morning that my game crashes! 45.gif I got some problems on zoom.

Thank you.

Never mind, solved, I'll post my pic soon!

Amerikaner: I give a 7/10. The blue building looks out of place to me.

gabry85: 1st a question. Where did you get the 2 buildings in the center with the green and blue lights on the rooftop?

Now your rating: 8.2/10 Personal taste mostly but i think the City hall and memorial look awkward where you place them. I feel the need to see more hotels there. But i love what you did for your marina.

Thanks for rating Shadow_prophet! Not sure about the City Hall, I chose carefully its position, but maybe is just about style, lol. Anyway thanks again.

And here's the link: Bank Of Simcity Plaza by joerg, one of my favorite buildings! Is that what you were looking for?

Patriots: Thats just how jeronij's ploppable water works, the new one I mean. I have yet to find a way around it, but I'm sure I soon will! I say you get a 7/10 because there's this random spot of no woods that doesn't really make sense to me. Also, towards the top right of the picture, the terrain suddenly drops down, which looks kind of weird, but it is possible in RL. I love that BAT though and the volcano looks cool. But who would build a castle right next to an active volcano lol?

Gabry85: 9.5 - I like how everything seems to fit, even a supertall. Great marina and hotels with a soft sunsetish glow. Reminds me of San Diego

jrhnemo: 8.5 - That sure is different. You nailed the snow covered wilderness, but the water looks bad on the white ground. Not your fault, but still...

Patriots: 8.0 - The volcano looks awesome, and so does the castle...but together....hmmmm

wwetom1: 4.0 - Sorry...but U Drive it icons are on, toolbar is on, buildings seem a little mismatched with skyscrapers dropping off to suburbs and open wooded areas, and many repeated buildings. PM any of us if you need any help...we're all more than willing to share ideas, BATs, and methods.

Here's mine

jrhnemo: Awww, if only the water didn't appear like that (I'm having problems with it myself). The thought and concept is there though. 7.5/10.

patriots_1228: Goodbye, castle (nice BAT that one). Destruction. . . me like. 8.7/10.

wwetom1 : UDI bubbles off, sidebar minimized, etc. you know the drll. I do like that patch of green to the north (that area with lots of trees). 6/10.

football_fever: Nice use of them smooth-curving roads (NAM right?). It makes this common landmark look unique. 8.7/10.

Click the "Minimize" icon on the toolbar, then press [CTRL] + [sHIFT] + to go into snapshot mode.  Also...I recommend downloading [this mod] that gets rid of the yellow pause border.
