Wow, beebs has a CJ! Awesome!

Well, you have much talent!

The highways, the forest, the city life, and everything is just so well done!

I hope this CJ last for a long time.

It's a neat little thing that goes with the NAM. It just adds a little 'mask' over the NAM puzzle pieces to give a bridge effect. Allows you more flexibility. The name escapes me right now, but I think there's a topic on it in City Building Concepts.

I've decided that I'm going to start the CJ with an incomplete region. Hope that's ok with you guys, as there's lots of holes in it right now. 9.gif

    I almost forgot here's the before/after shots.

WOW... what a transformation... all of a sudden, it no longer looks green, yet it is still a beauty. Nicely done.

btw, I had no luck with finding that mod for the bridge you were on about, can you point me in the right direction?

In the blink of an eye, nature turns to metropolis; that's exactly how real life is! Great depiction of that element of the real world, whether you meant it or not!

    And so begins the CJ..

The day started like any other day in Fairbrook. A bright morning sunrise over the eastern shores, the birds chirping and twittering from tree to tree in the Emerald of the North. Fairbrook was a city renouned world wide for its bird population, who would flock to roost in the cities extensive forest system that stretches along all the major highways and roads in the city. The commute that day was like no other, with faithful businessmen and workers heading off to the commercial districts and the downtown cores to do their business and make their living. The highway system was extensive, running around the bay, and into all 3 downtowns, up the Capilano River and past Faibrook International Airport to the north. A majestic city with over 6 million inhabitants, life was perfect.

Then the bombs came. In an attack of total brutality, destroying industries as well as residential, Fairbrook was demolished. The western side of the city was one of the hardest struck areas, as was the southeast. Perched on the eastern side of the "Emerald Gates", a name for the entrance to the city and the Capilano River by sea, one of the major commercial centers used to be set there, towering over the bay and the Gates. This was a strategic point in the area as it provides the entrance to the bay and access further inland, not to mention the navy and army had its headquarters in this section of the city. With these headquarters, and many of the leading generals and commanders killed, many other sections of the city fell quickly.

By nightfall, the city was in shambles. The entire east side gone off the map, the northwest mostly destroyed and much of the north in ruins, the (former) mayor put the order out to evaquate the city. What was left of the military stationed in the city was ordered to move in to get the remaining 2 million citizens out. What the mayor couldn't have predicted was the resolve of the people to stay, even in all this death and destruction. The citizens wanted to rebuild, bring back Fairbrooks glory and station in the world... rekindle the Emerald of the North. When the Mayor persisted, the citizens rose up against him, lead by a man they called "Beebs." Within 2 days, the Mayor deposed of, and Beebs was voted to take his place as Mayor.

We begin at this point... the rebuilding of the Green City, rekindling of the Emerald.

6.gif Argh! That was unexpected... And so shocking, who on earth would commit such and unprovocted atrocity.

If any assistance whatsoever is needed the Government of Terrington will gladly assist. (It hasn't been made into a CJ just yet)

I look Forward to seeing what happens now.

Wow!  Great looking region!  Quite a story to start the region, very sad that so much was destroyed, but the reconstruction should be nice to see.
