The Brownfield University complex is looking great! A lot of people forget that usually these kinds of complexes have major parking lots with them... so this one looks pretty realistic!

    49.gif UPDATE 7

    Halliway/Euphora Expressway

    Thanks for your comments everyone! Appreciated! Now since I have time for an update, here it is!

    As you know, the Euphora Bridge which connects downtown Euphora to Halliway, has its own expressway, the Euphora Expressway. It runs through the city of Halliway, a borough of Euphora. The population is close to 80,000 right now.

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/9580/halliwayjul131611134360640au.jpg align=baseline>

    As you can see, Halliway is a small town, but with a large population. That highway in the foreground is the Euphora Expressway, which will run the whole length of the peninsula! Airport Blvd (Route 85) can be seen in this shot too.

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/3088/halliwayjul171611134361136qp.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/2149/halliwayjul221611134361307qi.jpg align=baseline>

    Here are two shots of the Euphora Expressway in Halliway. The Euphora Expressway has sound walls guiding it along since many residents live close to the highway. To keep sound pollution at a low, trees and walls were built around the highway.

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/2077/halliwayjul231611134361590bp.jpg align=baseline>

    In this shot, the main commerce section of Halliway can be seen, and to the left is a high wealth residential sector. Ulrich Avenue separates the two neighborhoods.

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/9159/halliwayjul241611134361960bi.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a high dense area of Halliway located near the Halliway Sanitary Park. It is mostly commercial, but the large tower here is the prominent Byall Tower, which is residential. It is the largest tower outside of Downtown Euphora, and offers living space for many rich Sims.

    <ahttp://img118.echo.cx/img118/3277/euphora11134362546ew.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a transportation view of Euphora and its urban suburbs. As you can see, the metro area is a bustling place with many throughfares. But, do you see that road east of all the development near that white line (Route 85). That road will be the boundary for mid density to low density buildings. Everything east of that line will be suburbs. The line will continue south as well, as I work on the south mid density neighborhoods. By the way, this road will be named Boundary Avenue, and it will span across the width of the peninsula.

    That was the update! Tune into Euphora on Friday to see more development!

    Comments are always appreciated!

    Glad to see this nice new update!!!! Great use of sound wall!!!! They fit well into the city. I suprised by the high wealth so close to the dumps 47.gif but ok.... The Boundary Ave. is great. That will give a lovely shape to Euphora!

    Thank you guys for your comments. I love the walls too. I based them on the Long Island Expressway here, because there are sound walls from the city out to central Long Island where there is the most residential neighborhoods. Thanks alot guys!

    Wow, that was an awesome update! I love your highway system, and how you used those walls in combination with trees to combat traffic noise. I also like the town in general, even though I've never seen a city of 80,000 with that many skyscrapers, lol. 2.gif Keep up the great work.

    49.gif UPDATE 8

    Robinson

    Finally the update is here! Robinson is just starting to see suburban growth! Take a look! 10.gif

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/1594/robinsonjul151011136124372nc.jpg align=baseline>

    Robinson is located just south of Halliway and is the first town in Euphora for suburbs. It has a small canal system on the sea, and offers beautiful apartments and houses. The population is around 19,000. It is unfinished.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/7210/robinsonjul181011136124707uk.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is the mid - dense area in Robinson, north of any suburbs. That highway there is the Southgate Expressway, which runs parallel to the Euphora Expressway.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/8431/robinsonjul271011136126365na.jpg align=baseline>

    Again, Robinson is the first area with suburban sprawl. This panoramic view shows the suburbs on the Rowell Sea. It is a beautiful place to live.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/1610/robinsonjul241011136125644gq.jpg align=baseline>

    The Mayor of Robinson lives here obscured behind oaks and pines on the sea. His address is 642 Seagate Blvd.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/2750/robinsonjul211011136125231iu.jpg align=baseline>

    The Seagate Blvd neighborhood is a nice area with commercial services nearby. Shown here is the local Wegmans Market, along with some diners and banks and Cemetary Park in the foreground.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/8500/robinsonaug21011136127077qq.jpg align=baseline>

    The suburban areas along the sea are nice. Back in the 1600's when this land wasn't claimed, village Native Indians carved these elaborate canals out of seashells. Today their historic presence captures the waterfront.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/5913/robinsonjul301011136126667yi.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a canal-side neighborhood. It is quite green, forested, and quiet. Across the left canal there is a row of upscale apartments known as the Cassidy East. It overlooks the canal and has seafront access.

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/8893/robinsonaug311011136127430uh.jpg align=baseline>
    Shown here is Terse Point. It is a community park with a lighthouse, some commercial services, tennis and basketball courts, and paths. It is located along a newly built strip where untouched land presently is located. That canal is known as Terse Creek (although it is a canal).

    <ahttp://img229.echo.cx/img229/5208/robinsonsep31011136127743sm.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a zoomed in photo of Terse Point State Park. Seen here is the lighthouse and the Lighthouse Restaurant. Parking is seen here for the park's visitors.

    That was the update! Thanks for your comments...
    Comments are always appreciated!!!

    P.S. --> Here is a region view to show you how the metropolitan area is filling out.

    Drooling...over...suburbs...amazing. Your suburbs paint a wonderful picture of the middle-class Western world...building paradise like that is the reason I play SC4.

    WOOOWHOOO!!!! 21.gif Outstanding Suburbs!!!! Everything is so perfectly green! I wanna know if you are going to have erosion problems with those 'canals' . . 2.gif . . (maybe a flood/hurricane 11.gifhehe11.gif)
    From that region photo, it looks like you've devoloped East of Airport Blvd (or Route 85).... I'll check back to see more.

    Thanks for the comments! Mayortim - I made that roundabout simply by creating a cul-di-sac with an avenue. Just like you do it in your streets for suburban residential areas. Just do it with an avenue!

    Right now, I am trying to create a building from Long Island in the BAT and I don't know how long it will take. I really am new to this so I don't know how long it will take for a beginner. Wish me luck!
