    7 Comments! Thank you all very much!

    RHF - Sorry for hurting you. I'll pay for your medical bills! 18.gif
    Iknowu, Bobinator, Dragon - Thanks for your comments!
    Gat x-105 - Thanks! I am glad you saw that Euphora was like Manhattan because it's kinda supposed to be. As for the superdemand mod, I use it in the very beginning to get my city started and at a reasonable demand. Then I eliminate it and start it up with no superdemand. Sometimes I even tax out the low wealth (I know I'm evil) and then just have middle-high wealth skyscrapers. But those low wealth projects on Perennas Island should be going very soon.
    KingOfSimCity - I think this city journal is just going to have Euphora's region in it because it's going to be a really long journal, you'll see!

    Thanks again for the comments!

    49.gif UPDATE 6

    Euphora's Mass Transit

    Thanks Dhoppeii. This is an update on the transportation in Euphora!

    First we have the subways.

    <ahttp://img71.exs.cx/img71/5091/downtowneuphoranov114411130073.jpg align=baseline>

    The subways are a useful addition to the city's mass transit. Many people take it per commute and it runs down 1st and 4th Avenues (the 2nd avenue is a typo!)

    At every subway stop (every corner on 1st and 4th Avenues), there is a busstop as well.

    Now here are the stats on ferry use in Euphora.

    <ahttp://img71.exs.cx/img71/3072/untitled6tj.jpg align=baseline>

    Comments are appreciated!!

    No comments? Well here is a region view shot... I've been working all morning on the dense urban sprawl that will take up until that black line. Also the airport is finished! Here is a region view for now, until I get enough comments to start showing inner city!

    Sorry I haven't commented sooner, I missed the last 3 updates because I never saw them! 21.gif

    It looks absolutely beautiful, Mike. You have one of the best downtown's ever, and that airport looks very good from region view also.

    The only thing that I can possibly come up with to say is that it looks like you are going to make the transition from med density to low density in a straight line all the way across the peninsula. I have found that if you add even a small curve to your medium density sprawl it looks much better. Try to make it look like the medium density curves around downtown, instead of just being a big block sitting there.

    This looks like an awesome region so far, and is definately the best you have ever done!

    Awesome work.

    Wow, Euphora is tall! I really like it.

    The new city across the bay seems really nice, too, I like how the buildings build up, kinda making it pyramidal.

    and I look forward to seeing that airport.

    Awesome update! You've done a lot of work already. I think Tim's advice is a good one: it adds something 'playful' to the city, and therefore looks more realistic. I'm very curious how you'll work it out

    Good job!44.gif44.gif

        Mike!!!! 31.gif18.gif31.gif Man i thought you'd take a longer time to get back on-line....  So I haven't been around....  Thats cool.  Fanasitic Opening!!!!  You look like you are very comfortable with cities on islands even though it kinda tough to do.  It looks like you're using a water color, I like it.  Great bridges and connecting avenues.  I like all of the ferries and piers!!!!
         I didn't see any parking for your stadium downtown????  I know the land value is high and you don't want to waste it on asphalt but maybe a little will look a bit more realistic.
         Now i've got to come online to check progress!!!!  I know you've got to include your great suburbs....  whenever you get out into the low density area

    I really like your CJ, the bridges are amazing.  are you going to build out or are you still going to try to build up.  The airport is really nice, and i like how u put it on an island, thats what i did with my CJ, but it really looks great in your CJ.  Great Job!

    Oh my gosh! Thanks for all these comments. Each one is appreciated!

    Evilfish - I am going to build outwards, and after I have some medium density, the suburbs are coming and will fill most of the peninsula.

    Railrod - Hey! I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner I would return. With the parking downtown in the stadium I should include asphalt. But since the stadium occupies a whole city block, (located on State Street between First and Riverwind Avenues in Euphora, check out that map on the first
    page) it's kinda hard because I will have to demolish some high wealth
    commercial services. But thanks for finding this journal and replying!

    To Everyone else - Thanks for your support here!

    49.gif UPDATE 6

    Euphora Int'l Airport/Ellisville

    Well since I have time for a Euphora update, I'll post one then! Euphora is growing like a region on steroids, almost 400,000 residents, and suburbs haven't been zoned yet. Now the metro area is eligible for an airport.

    Euphora Int'l is located on Williden Island off the north coast of the peninsula. The airport is smaller than most, but has moderate traffic.

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/5961/ellisvillejul210511132638078ev.jpg align=baseline>

    And here are some more shots...

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/4646/ellisvillejul230511132638414ig.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/5067/ellisvillejul260511132638633ox.jpg align=baseline>

    The only access to the airport is through the Williden Bridge, which oftens gets congested.

    Euphora Int'l is located in the city of Ellisville. The city has grown tremendously as an urban suburb of Euphora with over 50,000. The city has a small university with a convention complex.

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/7335/ellisvilleaug300711132640381dq.jpg align=baseline>

    The neighborhood of Williden Heights in Eliisville is mainly residential.

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/1382/ellisvillesep10711132640624wq.jpg align=baseline>

    The one way, tree lined highway is Airport Blvd, and runs north-south on the peninsula. It is also known as Route 85. Along it is Brownfield University and Brownfield Convention Center.

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/1937/ellisvillesep40711132641095mz.jpg align=baseline>

    On Route 85 (Airport Blvd) there are many commercial services. We can't forget about our neighborhood Wegmans and Best Buy!

    <ahttp://img41.exs.cx/img41/5007/ellisvillesep80711132641358pj.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is Brownfield University with Brownfield Convention Center. The Brownfield Sports Complex also is here and the college dorms are to the left of the campus. Across Route 85 is Praveza Square and some commercial office.

    That's all... but wait... here's a region view with pop count!

    Comments welcomed and certainly appreciated!!!

    That airport is amazing! I really like the preliminary shots of Ellisville, especially the last pic, with Brownfield University and the associated convention centre. Keep up the great work!
