Oh yeah, another Cj by me. This time i've focused less on small detaling and more on building. So, the result might look a bit uglier then my previous Cj's, but I simpy don't have time for the small detaling anymore. And hey, it's just a game 3.gif Since i suffer from bad imagination, i've taken random names from a map of the state of Utah. Well, enought talking.

FILLMORE - UPDATE 01

Well, gotta start from somwhere 3.gif

A pretty ugly begining, but I had to build som ordinary maxis building before puting the no maxis bulding mod into the plugin folder. Let's just wait from simgoobers small homes to grow.

I like your variety of trees in particular; I also like the dirt road behind the houses. Are the trees themselves God Modeable, or are they lots? The dirt road I assume is a set of lots? Looks nice.

    RiverCocytus: I use a mixture between Peg's random woods and Jeronijs Sesonal forest lots, and in the big forested areas, i just mix everything together, and then ram it with cycledogs god mode-flora 3.gif As for the dirt road, try searching for "dirt" on stex, they're called dirt alley something 4.gif

    Don't know why all the text is bold in this post, i tried to fix it but it doesn't seem possible. Anyway, to keep the interest up, i'll post another update now.

    I dunno, sloppet.  The rows upon rows of cracker boxes may be monotonous, but they certainly are more realistic.  I can't tell you how many neighborhoods I've driven through like that.  But you do have a point, there is much to be said for variety too...

    But anyway,

    Metasmurf is back!  You can bet that I'll jump right in when I see that name.  And what's this about not focusing on details?  This is you not focusing on details? 

    This, folks, is Metasmurf disorganized.  And he's still better than almost everyone else...

    Anyway, like I said, I'm loving the rows of houses.  Reminds me of the cracker box neighborhood I grew up in.  2.gif

    Nice detail you have in your rural town. Why did you say that you weren't going to pay attention to detail, b/c I see that there is tons of detail? Great job and looking forward to more!

    sloppet: The plan is to use one buildingset per neighbourhood. So there will be other building sets aswell. Just wait and you'll see what i mean in future updates.

    zelgadis: Thanks for your support. Well, I don't really care about realism since it's a game, and getting a city realistic in SC would take endless of hours making custom lots in lot editor. And i don't think anyone has the time for that.

    I can't belive it I always end up missing the first few updates,but atleast i found the place alright...lol

    but none the less awesome job,maybe sloppet has a point with a tad more variety,but excellent work all in all.I absolutly love your farms and I think it was your farms that originally inspired me even though I have been through many big and small CJs with similar farming...there is just something about your work that makes me scream "OMG why can't i do that?"

    anywho I can't wait for more updates and i hope you see my CJ one of these days to give me some rural pointers...

    This is surely great work that you have there. Attention to detail is good in my opinion but too much kills the fun out of playing the game. What you show here is certainly a great balance of detail and builder friendly CJ work. Great worl!
