Can't download anything

I tried IE and Firefox, so I doubt it is a cache issue.

I click Download (in NAM, for example), and nothing except perhaps the flash of a progress meter. No warnings about downloads or ActiveX or security or anything.

If I right click Download, I can save a blank download.html, but that's it.

I can download stuff from sites just fine, and do so all the time.  What gives with the ST web site?

I don't know if this will work but try clearing all your cookies and browsing history and then allowing pop-ups and cookies from Simtropolis and try again.

Nope, cleaned everything, allowed pop ups, and Download links are just empty pages.

Too bad... NAM looks cool, and no doubt there is other exclusive good stuff here.  As far as I can tell, there are no links to the files anywhere, and whatever magic the web site does (scripts, redirects, pop-ups, whatever) won't work for me.

Btw, I can download from the STEX section just fine... but not from the Modding section.

I can't download from mod section either. Tried disabling Norton ad blocker and turning off the pop up block. Tried using netscape and explorer.... NOTHING. I hope it gets fixed soon

Disable Zone Alarm in internet options...this should sort out DL probs.

Sorry guys, I'm on a mac and can't replicate your problem (modds download fine for me). All I can suggest is you disable windows firewall (if you haven't already), beyond this I can't help, sorry

I can' t download them either...I've encountered pretty much the same thing as koffee. I'm not willing to PM dirk before trying everything, if anything changes I'll keep ye posted...

You say that a progress bar shows up sometimes. Do you have it set up to automatically download the files somewhere, and it's doing it in the background, perhaps?

What if you open up the download manager in Firefox? Do you see the downloads there?

ok...unless theres something in firefox that may cause this ???...I use exploer and the mod download section works fine

or could it have been that the section was down for repairs when you try to download off of the modds section ?

I have tried downloading from the Modds Section from both IE and FireFox and neither of them work. I have pop-ups and cookies allowed for Simtropolis and the STEX works fine.

ZackyJeff: If you mean that you can't log into the STEX, try clearing your cookies and history, allow pop-ups and cookies from Simtropolis and try again.

EDIT: The Modds and Downloads section is now working for me.
