Mighty original theme for a CJ, and I love it!  I am a rail fan inside and out, so I can't wait to see more pics of these cool urban lines! 44.gif

Woo hoo! My Gold Tree Center idea worked, and made it!

I notice that Frogface's train station is getting slightly repetitive-no offense, but it's getting monotonous. Is CT getting bored here?

    The Green Line

    green.gif

The green line was first concieved on May 11, 1991, when the Pinehurst City and Imani Parkway stations opened. Before then, the yellow line was been running up and down the track since 1983. Later in 1991, on December 28, the Brandy Street and Plaza Industry stations opened. Since then, the yellow line terminated at Pinehurst City, and the green terminated a station north at Imani Parkway. Anacostia would have been opened that day, but because of red tape that lasts up to this day, Anacostia is far behind, and may not open at all. Plaza Industry has since closed when a fire erupted. Pictures of this station was destroyed afterwards because of the violence of the explosion. 783 people died.

On December 11, 1992, the green line section of Kew Gardens opened, so did the Oceania Heights and Polo City stations. This was at first the end of the northern secton of the green line. In 2004, it was extended, but first, on September 18, 1999, the inner city section- between Imani Parkway and Kew Gardens- opened. The green line would be extended again on May 14, 2004, when the Jordan Village Avenue and Yohlanda stations opened. CityTrans again thought that end of the line is finished, but on October 7 and November 7 of the same year, the Arland D. Williams Avenue and Sara Island stations opened. On the other end, on October 13, 2013, the southern end of the green line opened.

Notes: This station was named Williams Avenue, named after the avenue of the same name. The Williams Memorial Park part was added shortly after the station opened to honor the man who lost his life to save others when his plane crashed on the 14th Street Bridge in America in 1984. In 2010, the avenue was renamed Arland D. Williams Avenue, and the station was renamed.

Two years before the station opened, CityTrans were in the plans to name it the John Lennon Parkway station, and even created this logo to place as wall tiles.

There you go, the green line.

*=My computer runs terribly slow on large cities. Downtown is the largest city SimCity games generate, so because I got tired of waiting 45 minutes for my downtown to load and save, I decided not to finished the portion of the green line there.

CDI_spy: Thank you very much! I am a railfan, too, that's where I got the idea.

Tracker: I am glad you're happy I took your name for the new blue line station. No offense taken. I did it on purpose to try to keep an uniform, repetative motif, like the Washington Metro. If it seems boring, I'm sorry. I do plan on using more train station types in future expansions.

teddyb4492: I am glad you like it.

jacqulina: Well, thank you. You have seen some of my earlier work here on Simtropolis!

I hope you resurrect the closed green line. Mode switching can be problematic, but it can do.

    Still, great transit centers.

People, I have some bad news....

I think my computer is haunted. Every time I create a city, it stays on my PC forever, but every time I make a CJ for it, a virus or something appears, forcing me to clean out and backup, but this time, I didn't back up, and now my city is gone.

To everyone who stopped by, thank you very much. I enjoyed making it, and I hope you enjoyed seeing it.

Another rail tour will be posted soon.

    Cortezlynn has fallen...

    only to rise again!

PS: CDI: Thank you for giving me page 239.gif

Well that's a shame - the website was really incredible (like a real transit authority's). Hope to see a new CJ soon.

and very soon after i posted...

i hope you get your next rail project up and running soon...

perhaps a highway project as well... (i love seeing how people do highways... can someone PM me a link to various topics/cj's with good simcity highways)

    Hello, there!

I am working on my city as we speak. Previews are to be posted very soon, I promise!

    Now for mail call:

ElBarto92: Thank you for stopping by my website. A error was created on it...in the news section, under this weekends (this one, the real one) service disruptions, the site has last week's dates for this weekend's disruptions for the green line's rail car work. Sorry. Anyway, I enjoyed making it, and it will be updated regularly for now. When I am finished with this system, a new website (under the same URL) will be up.

SC4Noobie: Thank you for feeling my pain, and thank you for visiting my site. Trust me, you will see more!

johndg240: Yes, I know. This is not the first time this happened. Check out my first CJ. You might like it. I know how bad, yet exciting it is to start over. Again, a new CJ will be posted, and as for your highway system, I personally don't like highways, but I would like to see that. Maybe I will stop by your CJ soon.

spikeydarren: Thank you. I used Microsoft Visio that comes with the professional version of Microsoft Office. Before then, I had to use Paint! You'll find your program, like I did.

lilred731: You can visit my city anytime! You're always welcome!

Well, that's it for now... thanks again, and some pics will be posted sometime tomorrow!
