Well, everyone gets spoiled this week.  The new lots are now on the STEX :

 

Publix,

Wegmans,

Tops,

Piggly Wiggly.

 

This will probably be the last time I ever try to do so many at once; it was quite a feat.  I'll probably keep it to 1 or 2 a week from here on out.  I did start the Shoppers, but it's still in the early stages..

No textures yet, just a rough model.  I also need to work on some of the BSC projects I am committed too.  There may actually be a couple of them released next week as well.  Darn, it may end up being 3 or 4 more again.

 

Ok, I stayed up till midnight to post these, now I'm going to bed.

Here's an update on Shoppers.  I am experimenting in Photoshop to try a new roof texture.  I'm completely green here, but a few suggestions from Cerulean, and I'm getting through it.  We'll see if it workd out.  Anyways, the pic below has no roof junk yet for that reason.

Have you ever thought of making a team to put your models on lots and modd them so that you can spead more time with the BAT and producing models?

I don't know what it's supposed to look like in real life, but that pink on the sign seems a little bland, it doesn't offset the brown of the building very well in my opinion, otherwise, still doing a nice job

SimGoober, your BAT building are always top-notch! With all the requests I've seen, I expect that you're working on restaurants now and I hope that a rustic Red Lobster is among them.

I do have one request that maybe you could put on your calendar for future consideration -- How about a Hard Rock Cafe? (Or a Planet Hollywood or House of Blues). My Sims would really appreciate a little nightlife, it might also lure in a few tourists. I would appreciate any comments on this post.

Dang it, I replied a couple hours ago, but got an error.  Didn't realize it wasn't posted.

I think somebody somewhere started a Hard Rock, as I saw the guitar in another thread.  It might have been Joerg, in relation to his mall project.  I think he gave that up though. 

 

Once I get to the restaurants, I'll start with one of these:

 

Hooters, Red Lobster, Outback or Ruby Tuesday. 

 

 I'll need to go looking for some pics of them to refresh my memory.  All of these are also near me, so I might go out and get some of my own.

 

I don't mean to slight anyone's requests, but I am getting too many to keep up with.  I'll do what I can, here and there.

They opened one here in Stockholm some years ago but it was not long before they closed it down and rebuilt it to a Pizza Hut. I think it was the only one in Sweden and now there are zero of them...

When I was in Montevideo, in Uruguay, there was a TGIF near the mall (which was great cause they were the only place in town with root beer ) but they closed down.  There was also a Pizza Hut, but it closed down too since no one could afford the pizza.

I'm not sure if this is where you want feedback on the BSC 7-11 series, but, I am having a problem with one of the growing lots not showing the 7-11 Bldg.  Here is the photo.

Hmmmm.... We had that happen once during testing, but we thought we had it fixed.  I'll look some more under the hood and see if i can figure it out.

 

EDIT: Ok, I think I fixed it.  There is an update on the STEX.  I'm not sure if this will fix the one that grew or not. It might have to re-grow for the fix to be in affect.  Actually, come to think of it, you might be better off bulldozing that one before you install the update.  Sometimes, if certain details of the lot have changed, and SC4 looks at it wrong, the game will crash.

 

The lot is set as a Cs$ building, but one of them had one of the settings (Occupancy Groups) as Cs$$.  That one had a few properties of both buildings, so I think that caused it.

I'm a great fan of your work!
I was on www.globalairphotos.com, an canadian urban aerials photos site and I saw some industrial areas pictures.
For the majority, it's logistic plateforms and stockyards (we have just a little of this type of building in SC4).
I found the industrial buildings (exept someone) are very ugly.

Are you interested to do large industrial stockyards? It would be great too (retailers and groceries need to be approvisionned)

Here's the Blockbuster in game.  I added some details to it, including shelves full of videos....  They only really show up at night, as that is when it is lit up.

I haven't modded the lot yet, that's todays project.
